This is the good TJ. Sharing, defending and taking the shot when he has to. Why cant he always be like that.

4 t/o for TJ now and lucky it was not more time to sit him back on the bench.

rashooooooooooo [/jack black]

Improvement for Ford. Forced a couple in the 4th, but good thing Sam actually adjusted when he did that. The last couple minutes had me worried, but overall, good win. Would've been an absolute EMBARRASMENT if we didn't get this.

Thanks Mitch you must have heard me you finally made the change at the right time. No hesitation this time around, TJ was alittle better however like Leo and chuck both said still struggling out there.

Mitch on Raptors TV just being so supportive of TJ'S play. As hard as Mitch seems to be on his players at times he just says the right things and never really calls out his players.I like that style and i am sure that his players respect him for that.

Rasho and AP were fantastic. Andrea ... meh .... just wasn't his day. Sure he scored 16 points, but shooting 6-21 isn't anything to be proud about.

Anyhow, much needed win because a win might be few and far between over the next 5 games with us heading out West.

Please drive the ball AB, even though you suck at that to.
Good team effort, we needed this one bad.
After 5 game road trip, look for our record to drop to 35-32.
Bosh will be back after the road trip, rested and ready to go

I actually thought Andrea played solid in the 2nd half and helped us get that lead. He started like 2-13, so after that he was an ok 3-8 with lots of FTs, and still managed to be a presence out there.

he was booed in the wizards game too, when he first got into the game (but there were scattered boos). When he had that stretch in the 3rd quarter, there were lots of boos in the crowd.

Tonight he was awful again, better than the Orlando game - but still, the same horrible looking turnovers, where he has no idea where he's passing, completely unaware of where his players are on the court.

Andreea is playing better, he's making a lot fewer mistakes lately. Offensively, he obviously stopped trying to play inside (a good thing, given that he absolutely sucks at that), so it's going to be like this the rest of the way, one game he shoots 50%, one shoots 30% and so on. At least he stays on the court very long minutes, which will be very good for his confidence next season.

I guess no one's going to complement Sam for playing Bargs almost the entire game despite struggling with his shot.

And even those who say Moon is a scrub or can't improve his game can't deny the improvement he's shown on the defensive end the last three games.

It only took him a season and 3/4 and Bosh's injury to do it. Bargs was active on defence and didnt make a lot of mistakes, and he boxed out pretty well. He was taking wide open shots again but it seems like every 2nd game he doesnt hit it, maybe due to fatigue because his shot is so fucking flat due to not bending his knees. Mitchell taking him out today would have gone against his own philosophy of taking the open shats or sitting your ass on the bench. Too bad Bargs missed so many gimmies.

Itd be nice if he worked on his layup technique too. Everytime he goes to the basket I'm hoping he gets fouled because he just flails it up there and it has no chance of going in. I guess they only teach jumpshot fundamentals in italy.

I'm encouraged that at least he's getting to the basket though. The dunks haven't been there since the fall, but once he figures out how to finish those drives his game will completley open up. Not many players have the ability to drive the hoop for a score or shoot the ball from mid to long range. In that sense his game could actually be closer to Lebron than Dirk (I don't really see the comparisons between the two other than being 7 foot euro shooters. Dirk is much much better in the post, Bargs will be better at driving and dunking. Dirk is also more fluid and I guess soft, Bargs is a bit more stiff but can take contact more. But then again I never watched young Dirk, so maybe this is what he looked like early on)

thriller, my point was people are quick to jump all over smitch when they feel he is hurting the team and yet are super-reluctant to ever complement him when he does exactly what they been saying he should be doing...damned if you do, damned if you don't.

.

It's probably because it only took Bargs 3/4 of the season to realize that if his shot isn't falling there's other ways to score and other ways of still having an impact on the game. :cheeky-smiley-013:

bargnani was in the game only because Bosh was out - if Bosh was playing, he would have been on the bench much quicker. Don't kid yourself that Mitchell finally "got it", that will never happen.

You can hate on Sam all you want and make assumptions and imagine conspiracy theories, but Bargnani finally got that there's other ways to score and have an effect on the game when his shots not falling. That was the first game where he's actually not hung his head because he wasn't making jumpers. If he wasn't doing the little things he could've just as easily went with Hump, who was playing well on Sunday too.
