Ah Raptor123, where would the consistency be in my life without you blaming TJ for every Raptor loss. Lol... I've heard of "man crushes", but you've got some "man hate" for TJ. To quote Denzel in He Got Game, "You gotta get some of that hate outta your heart." Lol...

As do I ofcourse because the offense is much more fluid with him directing it. I'd just love to see him with 100% healthy Bosh & Bargnani to help him in our frontcourt. That would be sick.

missed most of the second half due to being dragged to the gym by my wife. from what i can tell i missed a lot phoenix dishing and swishing their way through a nonexistent raptor defense...pretty close or way off?

Sure TJ chuckes too much but he didn't loft'em up as much until the game was out of reach. If people want to lay blame then piss and moan about none of our guys playing a lick of perimeter defense. That's what lost us the game, not TJ.

But come'on, did anyone honestly think we were going to beat the Suns tonight. Be honest too.

There was no defense in both ends, except when Nash was in the bench and we could stop them for a little while, then he was back and again no defense to be seen.
They shot 58% and we shot 55%. They scored 45 points in the third. 13 of 28 from the three for them. Unstoppable.

Third quarter the Suns came out on fire and finished the quarter with 45 points. Most of them coming beyond the arc courtesy of Barbosa and Bell who couldn't miss if they tried. But there was amazing ball movement by the Suns, some of the best movement I've ever seen that wore us down too.

But like I said lads, no shame in losing to a team like the Phoenix Suns. We'll get'em back on December 22nd when we play them in Phoenix.

I wanted Tj to shoot a lot to recover his game, but he when too far in the fourth. I would be really pist if I was playing with him.

It's not like this score was a surprise... it's good that Raps didn't rush Bosh & Bargo and also TJ had lot of minutes to get back in the shape...

Guess I was expecting Phoenix to win this game but I thought Raps had a chance. I wonder how close the game would've been if we had TJ, Bosh and Bargnani at full strength?

Chances are that San Antonio wouldn't let them shoot like this...

This games exposed both of our PGs... they can't guard a chair little less best PG in the league...

It's weird because when I watch the Suns play any other team I pray for them to demolish them, but when they play the Raps my feelings of contempt for each and every member of their team is overwhelming. lol

i actually wind up hating the raps when they play the suns because i love the way they play, move the ball, and finish. the raps are trying to get to that level but they're at least two years away from being remotely close.

This game showed us a few things:

1.) without our two best bigs (arguably Rasho is #2 but whatever) we're still competitive. Except they were unconscious from 3 today, especially Bell
2.) Calderon should be the stater for now and forever. He gets the whole team flowing.
3.) TJ is still a great player and could definitely flourish in that Barbosa role; he can both spot Calderon and play as a second guard to open up the floor from us. We were getting penetration from all over the court with TJ and Jose out there at the same time.

4.) the stuff by Jamario on Marion got me excited.

Our players played like morons with the perimeter defence and they picked us apart because we gave them both the easy layups and the 3's. Mitchell didnt have any gameplan at all in stopping them, but our perimeter guys played like complete dolts in not closing out. Take your friggin chances with Barbosa and Bell finishing floaters at the rim after dribbling from 24 feet, get them off the 3 point line. Just putrid defence, hard to watch as a Raps fan even though the game was superb in the entertainment aspect.

The 2 minute stretch that we did pound them inside going to the rim we went on a 6-0 run, then we went back to playing their style which we got killed at obviously.

Hopefully we were saving Bosh and Bargs for Friday, we need them.

I missed the game for my girlfriend's birthday but i admit i was shocked by the score. Last year we at least tried to slow the game down and for the most part were successful. Why did Kapono not play?

I hope Bosh and Bargnani are back for friday.

Before I get started i want to make it perfectly clear that I did not cast any blame to TJ regarding the loss to the sun's. I tend to agree with BballWatcher. 1.) without our two best bigs (arguably Rasho is #2 but whatever) we're still competitive. Except they were unconscious from 3 today, especially Bell.
2.)TJ is a great player and possesses great skill however when it comes to running the offence Calderon does a better job. Jose just gets the other guys more involved..... if anything getting Jose to shoot and drive just alittle not much more would make him a better player.TJ reminds me alot of dixon where he would rather shoot then make plays. So this is how i would look at it at who should start at the point guard. If you start your shooters then Jose should start he will get them the ball.If the shooters come off the bench then thats where Jose goes. If you look at last nights game Jose did a great job finding guys in the first half. The differance was that the suns made more shots then us but the funny part was that we had better looks at a shorter distance to the basket. The suns were throwing up bombs getting good looks like the rapts were but they were from 3 point land and they were sizzling hot. Jose could have easily registered 15 plus assists if we just made shots. Just like Leo Rautins said on the tube last night ...you see alot of Jose in Nash and so do I . Leo even came out and said that the rapts should keep Jose as their starter. He is only I believe 26 this guy will get better and I hope we don't let this guy slip away because the way Jose plays and the way he reads the floor he will lead our team to the next level. If we had Bargs and Bosh last night we would have had a better chance. Rasho has been playing well however if Bargs got the ball where rasho was getting it last night Bargs would have had a field day.
