yeah.. oh well. Allen is a name and that's the all star game for you.

The other thing that Chuck said which i found weirder is that Deavan George has a no trade clause in his contract and is refusing the trade to Dallas. So.. is kidd still a net? sounds like it.

Yeah, I just mentioned that in the "Kidd to Dallas" thread. Up until Stern finalizes everything, Kidd is still property of the Nets.

Sucks for Jose though. (assuming he's going to replace Kidd in New Orleans this weekend)

I boo him from my couch and will until the end of time. I hope he loses it and attacks a fan.

"Chuck, Vince has lost it. He's going up into the stands!"

"Oh my Bosh! He's taking swings at a fan! Oh...wait...he's down. Vince Carter has sprained his ankle..."

Nenad Krstic definately doesn't look like the player he was before his knee injury.

He was pretty brutal.

Carter and Jefferson were also very lack lustre to say the least. My favorite moment was probably the Bargnani block on Jefferson that caused him to fall akwardly to the floor giving Jose the layup.

Damn that whole nets team was pretty brutal. There's really no semblance of "team" with them and zero flwo to their offence, but i guess Kidd will be back piloting their offense.. maybe? although you've got to think that even if the dallas trade doesn't go, he will be somewhere else after the allstar break.

Funny thing, i was just thinking that NJ was getting their game back as they had a little win streak put together and was seemingly getting their shit together like they always do in the second half of the season.

Perhaps Leo has a beef with him.

I know a guy that is close to the team and works in Marketing for the MLSE, he told me that contrary to popular belief, Vince's smiles were for the camera only, he was a real prick to a lot of the people there. That was backed up by a friend of mine that covers the team for the Star (gulp, I know y'all hate him, but he's a buddy, and an old Basketball friend as well).

His take was very similar, only he named people like trainers and the young towel kids. I guess Carter was horrible to them and made them feel like shit. Hearing this, and believing it, I find it easy to believe he probably crossed Leo badly at one point or another and Leo thinks he's a Douchebag now.

Leo would knock him the fuck out in the cage!

The seats I got were really amazing - I was 10 feet from the NJ bench and people around me were constantly shouting at vince - it was fun. Too bad the game had so little drama ... Also, from this close, the game looks very different. You can clearly see for example that Bargnani was 0 interest in getting an offensive rebound, even when he makes a move, he's clearly doing it just because he is supposed too, but he never expects to actually get the ball. Not sure if it's lack of interest, or he just doesn't trust his ability to get it, so he gives up before he tries. On the flip side, he is very fast for his size, which makes it even more disappointing that he doesn't get more involved.

Leo has huge beef with Vince - you can hear the bitterness when he speaks about him.

I can agree with him though; Vince just simply does not bring it every night.

Remember those Vince for Kobe rumours when Vince was peaking in season 3? Imagine... There was a time that vince was viewed as a slightly better invidual player than Kobe. Now, I bet every GM in the league would take a guy like Iguodala over Vince.

I was at the game last night and want to share a few things with you guys that might not have made the air.

- After a TV timeout in the first quarter, RJ was waiting at the scorer’s table for the game to restart. VC walks over and starts walking towards the Raptors side of the scorer’s table. RJ pulls him back but VC tugs away anyways and walks towards Chuck to give him a pat. From my seats....upper bowl prime, I couldn’t tell if he acknowledged Leo.

- Darrell Armstrong got into it with a couple fans. Darrell was complaining about a foul and the fans behind the scorer’s table mimic him. Had a few words, fans were drunk I think but it was pretty funny to see fans getting into a player’s head.

- In the sequence before CB went up for the monster dunk (foul), VC was backing up on defense and gave CB a pretty good shot with his elbows. I think that’s why CB went up so strong...cuz he was PISSED!

- Kris Humphries shoots the ball way too much. I bet he leads the team in shots/minute. More than Darrick Martin. YIKES! The reward comes after the garbage work, not before.

- Richard Jefferson is up for assault charges in Minnesota and I think his game was way off because of this. He usually dominates the Raptors and he did for a stretch.

- VC chants are still pretty loud. I wonder if he is the most hated athlete in the history of Toronto. I’ve been to every NJ game in town since VC got traded and the level of hatred has diminished a little but the “Let’s go Raptors, VC sucks” chant are still pretty strong.

- Jose looked gassed when he got taken out. If TJ is out for an extended amount of time, I wonder how long Jose will play at this level with the number of minutes he’s playing lately.

- NJ Nets needs Mikey Moore back. Haha.

Couple other non-game related issues:

Rod Thorn is an amazing GM. To get what he’s getting for Kidd and also how he fleeced Toronto for VC, you gotta give him props. Of course, VC is turning out to be a cancer on the team but Rod Thorn has made some good moves. I think Jay Z should get gangsta on his players.

i've got to agree wtih you about thorn. well i don't know if i'd call him amazing just yet as his teams haven't really done anything, but dude knows how to pull off a majour trade. that's for sure.

Even in landing vince, he still ridded himself of his own headache (mourning), and gave up essentially NOTHING else.

This Dallas trade looks great for him too if it ever comes up.

The problem i have with him is his re-upping of Carter. I know it's said to have been a move pushed by ownership, but that's where thorn should have taken a stand and reminded his boss who is the actual GM. He gave in and now the team is suffering.

As much as I love Hump's energy, having him in the offensive set is like having a black hole floating in the half court. Nothing escapes the black hole, neither light or an obvious pass.

In the words of Chris Rock, "Grand opening. Graaaaand closing."

*New jersey Nets forward Richard Jefferson is being investigated by authorities in Minneapolis for allegedly choking some man at a club, then threatening to beat up another man who witnessed the incident, TMZ has reported.

A police report states Jefferson got in a "minor verbal disagreement" with another patron at the club, which then escalated to a situation in which the NBA star was on top of the man, allegedly choking him.

According to the report, Jefferson left the club, and then ran into a witness who asked Jefferson to stay put until the disagreement was cleared up. The witness says Jefferson responded, "Say another word, I will kick your ass."

No charges have been filed, but Minneapolis PD says Jefferson is under investigation for "assault with significant bodily harm."

Not the first time that's happened. lol
