GAME THREAD FINAL: Charlotte Bobcats 98 - Toronto Raptors 92

Quote:

PROBABLE STARTERS

Charlotte: Kemba Walker, Reggie Williams, Corey Maggette, Boris Diaw, Bismack Biyombo.

Toronto: Jose Calderon, DeMar DeRozan, James Johnson, Amir Johnson, Aaron Gray.

KEY MATCHUP

Walker vs. Calderon

The rookie Bobcat point guard — the object of some Raptors fans desire at draft time —averages 13 points and 4.6 assists per game and might be the best thing about the Bobcats. Calderon is shooting better of late than he has for any extended time in his career.

NEED TO KNOW

Raptors expect to have guard Jerryd Bayless back in the lineup; he’s been out with a sore ankle . . . Linas Kleiza missed Wednesday’s game with a sore ankle and knee, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he sat this one out, too . . . Charlotte hasn’t won since Jan. 14 at Golden State . . . The other Bobcat rookie, Biyombo, is coming along slowly and at 19 years old is the youngest active player in the league.

Now, if we lose this one, we'll know we're serious contenders for the one-browed monster. :reporter:

day off + weak opponent + injured scorer returns = huge Raptor tank

It might be fun to see Biyombo play though. I'd forgotten about Bismack Biyombo.

Hasn't he sucked this season?

This is a huge game. We need Jose and Demar to ensure that their guards get wide open shots. This is a must lose.

Bargn88 02-16-2012 11:29 PM

All you tank supporters are in for a let down. Raptors gonna beat the Bobcats by 15+

Bobcats are THAT bad

He's actually been pretty good when it comes to shot blocking.

The top 5 picks in this summer's draft? :mischief:

Don Vito 02-17-2012 01:46 PM

Looking forward to seeing Kemba Walker play, shall be interesting

DDUnreal 02-17-2012 03:40 PM

Who's carrying the scoring tonight? No Kleiza, No Bayless, No Bargs. Can Derozan actually do it for a second game in a row?
