Default Gallinari Declares For NBA Draft

He figures he'll be a Top 15 selection this summer, but if our #17 pick come up and he's still on the board does BC take him? A fellow countryman to play along side Andrea which might make for a little competitive spirit amongst the two, or do you think we stay away?

At 6-foot-9, Gallinari is hoping to be a top 15 pick.

I'd go for it

History shows that a lot of the great european players go lower than they should (Dirk, Manu, Calderon etc.). At 17th pick it's not *that* big of a deal if he's not great, we might as well take the chance on a higher reward.

I wouldn't touch Gallinari. I don't think his athleticism is that good. I'd rather a guy like Eric Gordon or Anthony Randolph.

I don't like him very much, but he's terrific at drawing fouls and he is a very consistent player, and he's young and still growing.
Many teams are scouting him and several teams have talked to him.
Mike D'Antoni knows him very well because he is a good friend and a former team-mate of Danilo's father. He appreciates him and would trade to get him.

Thanks praja ... I kind of hope we pass on him if he stills happens to be available at our selection. I'm kind of frustrated with these "potential" picks we've made over the years. I mean there's never a guarantee obviously, but some players you just know right off the bat. Gallinari doesn't seem like one of those immediate impact players coming out of the draft.
