Getting Galinari would be about stockpiling another young talent on this team... we're still a ways away, so let's not worry about fit so much and just get guys that want to and can positively affect a competitive culture.

Acie is right... Miami's pick, and any combination of Weems, Wright, Alabi, Ajince..... a damn steal.

Yeah, stockpile talent, get rid of deadweight. Maybe in 3-4 years we pull a KG to Boston.

Maybe the connection to Ujiri can land him here. But I must say I still don't get why they wouldn't keep him?

Gallinari is very young and this is his first real year. For sure Dantoni loves him (see his playing time) but he belongs to this league. He's not only a 3 point shooter but this year very often he attacks the rim and get a lot of calls and shot near .90 from ft line.
P.s. He's not my favourite italian player so i'm not a homer here

Not that im complaining, or feel that this whole having a white team is a failure but these are select examples, and for the most part, all "white" or non African American teams do usually suck....... I could reverse your list with this, way more impressive one

Kobe, MJ, LBJ, Wade, Paul, KD, Aldridge, Howard, Amar'e Stoudemire, ellis, Mello, rose, gorden....and the list goes on and on and on

This guys not tallent, hes a chucker that gets 34min/game

Hes good for 34min/41%fg/34%3pt /15ppg

This guy is Bellini 2.0....literally and we all know how inconstant belli was

this year belli is 24min/41%fg/38%3pt/10ppg and all his numbers are very close to Gallinari

Clearly you missed the point.

The dude said there hadn't been a white All-Star since Chris Mullin.

I merely compiled a list that proved him wrong.

he's also been great at getting to the line.... something this team could always use more of.... we don't get enough respect as it is, so the only solution is to be more aggressive... Danilo fits that.

He'd be a great fit... it's way too early to really worry about team needs.... talent, talent, and more talent.

lets do it...not cause of the dunk from this link, but because we can build an Italian dream team, lets bring back Belineli..and draft only italians going fwd jk,

in all seriousness, i think Gallo would do well w/Bargs and vice-verca. I'm in...

anything besides demar, davis, and our 1st round pick i'd be fine with.

you people are selling danilo short, he is a decent defender that can spread the floor and shoots 3's well, he is a young peja that can also drive to the rim and take contact.

with our currently situation @ SF i don't see why we wouldn't take a shot at him if given we don't give up any of the things i've listed above.

not surprising at all... it's basically a first rounder for each.... Gallo was a top ten pick to begin with, and Mosgov has proven he can play in the NBA and all teams need and want more size

You guys defending the racist honestly do not get it. Here is what he said:

Quote:
no more white/international players PLEASE!!!
That says "Judge players on their skin colour or nationality; not on their talent."

The fact is that there are talented white players, and talented international players. If you say they absolutely should not be admitted, drafted, etc. you're being racist; no other way to explain it.

If you're trying to make a point about prevalence among races, that is fine (and has some degree of empirical confirmation), but entirely different from painting everyone of a particular colour or nationality with the same, broad brush.

Point is: choose a player based on their talent and their ability to translate that to an NBA court. Don't base it, in any way at all, on race or nationality.

I would welcome swapping Bargnani for Gallinari. Then they can start pursuing a more defensive 5 and use the draft (Irving: fingers crossed!) to upgrade at the 1.

Thirdly, how many former Suns have been here? Three, and two were brought here because they had shorter contracts than the guys they were flipped for and one was brought in because he was an available big hack.

Lastly, Gallo is 6'10" and shoots the 3. He provides length and size at the SF postion and is actually not a bad rebounder or defender. If he's brought in for the right price, this could be a great move.
First of all - I said in my other post -"if this even happens".

Secondly - this would make three Italian players. Am I missing something or is there a huge number of NBA quality Italian players beyond those three? That would be 100 percent of them.

Thirdly - there was Marcus Banks, Shawn Marion, your big hack Jake, another hack in Linton Johnson as well as Leandro, and the reneged deal for Diaw. So that would be six.

Lastly, it could be a good move. I don't know about great. The guy was called out by his coach for lacking heart. That doesn't exactly scream out potential for defensive excellence. To me - and it's mostly out of a lack of optimism in this regard - a move like this would speak to a desire to emphasize offense. I did say Bryan could pull of some kind of magic. It's not like I discounted the whole idea. It's just not what I've been looking for. I'd like to see a team that can win 50+. If we can do that with a bunch of offensive weapons then good. I'm not counting on it though.
