The future for Bayless in toronto?

In fact, my hunch would be that this could be more of a “financial move”, for now.

By not extending Bayless the Raptors will save themselves more salary cap / flexibility for this coming off-season. Plus, when the regular season ends they could still put in a qualifying offer for Bayless before June 30 and, thus, make him a restricted free agent (essentially, Toronto would have the right to match any offer for him that might come from another team) or they could sign him to a new contract, as a free agent, when the sweepstakes begin after July 1.

Honestly, i don't see a bright future for Bayless.
His PG skills are very mediocre at best, everything he does is shoot those jumpers. I don't think he can do a slightest good impact on team's play, except maybe occasionally, when he can hit some shots. But we have other people who can do it better...
I don't care if they let him go..
I hope we draft a good PG and keep jose as a safe substitute.

I've always liked Andre Miller. With Lawson starting, I could seem him looking to move. I know he doesn't fit with the "build young" strategy, but I think he still has gas in the tank.

guy does not appear to have any 1 skill he's good at, there's been zero improvement in his game, and he's been in the league for a while, he's had plenty of chances to prove himself and enough time to improve his game
he has average off the bench PG written all over him

In 15 years, Bayless could very well be and have done what Anthony Carter was and did in his career.

I remember hearing Matt and Jack comparing Bayless to a young Chauncey Billups, which I would agree is probably pretty accurate.
