Fox Sports: JO #4 Centre in the NBA
Hmmm ... I don't know about that ... 4 is kind of high.

Jermaine O'Neal, Toronto Raptors

OK, this is a long-shot based on the past few seasons, but putting O'Neal in this spot just seems to make sense considering all reports are that the talented 30-year-old is not only free of the Indiana Pacers demise, but the catalog of injuries that have skewed his last four seasons. At a leaner 6-11, 260, he'll also have the advantage of playing next to the best power forward of his career -- Chris Bosh -- and they've got a chance to do serious damage not only in the Atlantic Division, but the Eastern Conference. He may not return to being the 20-point, 10-rebounds, 2.5-block player that made him a perennial All-Star, but the possibility is there, and he is eminently capable of becoming a dominating force in all three categories. He was tough for the Pacers to move because of the damaged goods moniker. And that may be motivation enough for him to return to All-Star form.

I haven't seen him play yet, but there's no doubt that the character is there. He's not going to sell the Raps short and he's not going to let anyone else do so either. That being said, I don't see him being #4 in the entire league. There's just too much talent in the league. But I really think he's going to make the Raps a threat in the East.
