Yes this is trolling, but I really don't understand how you can be an NBA coach and not have the credentials of an elementary gym teacher.

Bargnani is heating up, Barbosa is on fire, so what play to call when 10s left?

A edit drive by a horribly unreliable player who loses the ball out of bounds; that was a good no-call.

Awesome.

I dont blame the coach. he got horford on jose and jose is much faster. which did work and would have worked if jose was wade or someone with star power. too bad, if that was kobe or wade or even crawford they would have called it a foul. it really pisses me off when there is so much stern influence in our games. if we got half the calls the lakers or heat do on a nightly basis we would be a 20 win team at this time, not a what is it? 12???

The zone also worked.

But it's true, I don't get why our coach makes the moves he does. I do assume he told Jose that if Jose gets an iso on Horford he needs to drive it. But still, we'd be better with Barbosa going iso on anyone.

i thought triano was ok tonight until that last play, jose one of our slower players trying to drive the ball in traffic. Would have been fine if he envited contact and went up strong drawing a foul.

Pathetic playcall imo.

For the record i liked how Jose played tonight prior to that last play.

The Raps are an awful team that just challenged a much better team until the final possession. The zone defense was crucial, and I'm going to assume that was Triano's idea.

Think of Jose as a quarterback on that final possession, with multiple passing options. He saw a gap and decided to forgo his route check and run for the first down. Way she goes. Unless, Triano just said, "Jose, win the game. Maybe a lay up?". Credit Horford for good D.

Any coach would have done the same thing.

Any coach would have had Jose do that? Really? Why would you seriously think that?

Well, we gave up 60pts in the first half, we came out in the third and went zone. We had to do something, and in hearing PJ just prior to the 3rd i'd almost say it was his idea. I'll give Triano credit for sticking with it though, but that doesn't take a genious to figure out.

Sorry but also, wtf is this crap about not playing Wright? Unless he's hurt it makes no sense imo. The first half we couldn't stop shit, he could have made a difference the final 2 minutes of the first half instead of Kleiza. He's played 5 minutes in the last two games combined. Is he hurt? He praised him a few games ago and then stops playing him.

Not playing Wright is the one thing that bothered me. At least try him on Crawford. Even though Crawford is probably too swift, Wright has the length and the footwork to justify the experiment, if only momentarily.

You can't have an inexperienced team, and coach. It'll never work, but the management is too cheap to hire a better coach.

Triano should be the assistant coach, if anything.

Game was close with 2 minutes left in the 2nd. I would have liked to see Wright play the final two minutes of the 2nd and help us on defense, especially on Crawford who was torching us.

Yeah I don't get why Wright didn't get any time. Could have helped when guarding against Crawford. PJ did well with his defensive schemes, Jay had some good and bad moments. This game was close and played with effort. The young guys played with effort, which is what we like to see.

I think his thinking was that Jose is a great FT shooter so just get him to attack and take the 2 FTs. He had the matchup. IMO it wasn't that bad of a call, Jose should of better job of running it.

That's what i thought. Especially since Jose is one of the best FT shooters in the NBA. Plus, the miss match was there.

Is Jose even capable of getting to the rim on a consistent base? Does he ever get to the free throw line? Jose never even gets the call so I don't know what he was thinking. And he's not a guy who can drive either. He doesn't have that explosiveness off the bounce. It's not part of his game. Triano will just get eaten for breakfast in late game scenarios as long as he's head coach.

WOW

If there's one night I didnt expect a Fire Triano thread it would of been tonight...

what the fuck?

Triano coached a excellent game...

and they did exactly what they wanted... get the switch and have Jose drive on a Big and either get fouled or score (and maybe a +1)...

Also the last play of the game with 1 second left was a excellent play call, quick screen by Derozen got Bargs free with 1 FUCKING SECOND LEFT and Bargs a clean look that almost went in...

Lorddddd
