Default Ford's Injury

I haven't paid much attention to basketball in the past couple of years. I used to follow the Raptors, but then had no one to watch with when I started dating a guy who didn't like it.

So the lovely Superjudge has got me watching again. But I still missed a lot.

I never knew why TJ Ford was hurt for so long. Last night we watched that game against Atlanta.

Now, I'm not a fan of his... but ouch.

Just a little blast from the Raps past for you guys, cuz it's new to me.

Yeah, as unfortunate as the injury was it was kind of a blessing in disguise for this franchise. Had Ford not gotten injured who knows where we'd be right now and who we might have dealt Jose for if Ford remained healthy. That's totally assuming that Jose would be been the odd man out and not Ford of course.

Im actually going to miss TJ, but 35 minutes a game of calde compensates anything.

I'm glad he's gone, I just had never seen what had happened to him before.

I'm not going to miss Ford, but I do wish him well. His intentions I think were always in the right place, but just didn't fit the system here in my opinion. Raptors fans expect results immediately for the most part. Ford just got off on the wrong foot.

Two years ago the combination of Ford and Jose was good, but the injury last year screwed things over and that's when things went wrong at the PG situation

Two years ago, Ford was the man and Calderon was a cleanup garbage time type PG or just to let Ford rest, people forget how much he really carried us that year (which btw was our best year as a franchise in the reg season).

Just saying TJ did more for us for a longer period of time then Jose has, yet everyone assumes Jose is the real deal?

He had two outstanding months last year, he really fell off late season ,if you want to blame that on TJ coming back thats fine. Our supposed huge advantage at the PG spot vs Orlando never materialized as both Jose and TJ played sub par, but the year before TJ played great ALL YEAR in including the playoffs, its just sports fan have very short term memories and i hope it doesnt come around to bite us in the ass down the road Calde was definately unimpressive at best at the olympics and nobody knows if he can go a whole NBA season as a starter or if he can put up those ridiculous numbers longer then just spurts.

Jose is here and TJ isn't so what is the point of argueing, it's not like Bryan Colengelo will read your posts and bring TJ back
