I'm guessing that was on purpose.

If we take a step back and disregard Valanciunas' size, athleticism, skill and hands...

The thing that really makes this kid special is his bball IQ, hustle and willingness to lead by example.

I feel he's too smart not to at least be a very good player. If he fills out properly and learns the North American game quick, he'll have what it takes to be one of the best C's in the league.

JonasV will have a 11 ppg, 7 rpg in about 28-30 mins/game type season - kind of similar to M.Gasol's rookie year.

I think he still has to learn to keep a level head as he is very competitive, which in some cases translates into picking fouls quickly. And I'm not sure about 30 minutes per game, more like 20-22, that's what I'd give him. Anyway, looking forward to match up against Javale McGee.

20-22 mins??? I don't think they'll let him be backup after waiting a year for him, drafting him, hyping him up, etc. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see ED dealt to accomodate JonasV.

Wouldn't it be enough for a rookie in a team which I doubt would like to tank yet again another season? Personally I'd be happy with such minutes.

I'm not expecting him to be a double double guy this season, but I thought he could do the high 20 mins/game (maybe 27-29 mpg). It all depends I guess on if/when ED is dealt.
