Ford for Przybilla & Draft Picks?

Not a rumour, but just a blogger's opinion. (Raptors Den)

That being said, would you?

Maybe a package that centered around Joel Przybilla, who the Blazers donít need with a healthy Greg Oden coming back next season. Add this to go with the fact that Rasho Nesterovic is only under contract for one more season and it could set the Raptors up at the center position for a few more years and give them an excellent center combination this season with Rasho and Przybilla.

The Raptors could also potentially get either the 33rd or 36th pick in this seasonís draft or a solid bench player like Jarrett Jack or Sergio Rodriguez.

Either way, I think the Raptors and Trail Blazers are good trade partners, as Portland wants a veteran point guard and have a lot of trade assets with their number of solid young players to go along with several draft picks.

Well I wouldn't go for Joel, the dude average like 5 ppg.

#13 is tempting though. Possibly use it for a guy like Joe Alexander?? He’s a pretty athletic forward with good length. He has good touch around the basket, knows how to finish, and can get to the line easily.

I'm still not sure though, it doesn't feel right somehow..

If it's Prz and the #13, sure, I'd pull the trigger. But for Prz and the #33/36? No thanks.

I dont like pryzbilla all that much. sam loves him, but why on earth do we need a rasho humphries hybrid when we have the originals already, and we're keeping them on board. redundant anyone?

Pryzbilla is tougher, more aggressive and more defensive minded than Hump (who's not a centre anyway) or Rasho.

I think he's exactly what we need.

Because Rasho is a FA at the end of the season, and if he's either traded or he walks, we need someone to come in and play the 5. Prz only makes 4 mil per year, so he's a decently priced backup.

Methinks we're still gonna play Bargnani at center next year, so this deal wouldn't make much sense unless we trade away Rasho. And honestly I'd rather trade Ford for something more than a back-up center who'll be too old in a few years to help us.

przbilla is a very good player - excellent rebounder, young. I think he's a better player than Biedrins - and few would be against trading TJ for Biedrins ...

Pryz doesn't have a third of the value of Biedrins

Andris much, much younger, and everyone knows right now that his production and minutes are stilted by the fact that he plays in an Don Nelson system that doesn't play to his strengths whatsoever.

My first reaction is no. But ACIE might be about him being what we need. I do think there's more value that could be gotten though. And there's so much depth on the Blazers - I'd be disappointed if we couldn't get something else out of the deal one way or another.

If we could throw some expiring contracts or future draft picks, I would love to get Outlaw too.

Here was my original trade proposal way back when.

I still think it's a good one.

Travis Outlaw, Steve Blake & Przybilla for TJ & Rasho + 17th pick

thats actually pretty good, but risky too. We would get a lot of what we need in what package.

Bingo! Now we're talking. I could deal with Rudy Fernandez as well.
