zomg, that one was a keeper, good thing i screen saved it all!

But yes, all the players mentioned are nothing close to even the potential Bosh had at their age.... come on now, this is crazy!

It's not a bad package if Bosh specifically said he won't resign. If he doesn't, ride him til he does.

I don't know.

I seem to like this trade for a few reasons...

Firstly, I know it's a bitch that we're getting rid of Bosh without an getting an all-star in return, but sometimes you gotta take a step back and look at the big picture. Bosh leaving would undoubtebly leave Andrea as our main scorer, something he's proved he's capable of when given the looks. The scoring slack is something I would definitely not worry about considering Bargs is just a better pure scorer...

It's one thing to just analyze the players we'd get in return, it's another thing to analyze the change of dynamic within our current team if Bosh gets dealt. Bargnani and Biedrins, although may look like a weak set of bigs, would give us a very solid inside-outside duo. Both are becoming better defenders as time progresses and would really be able to mesh well together without getting in each others way.

A lot of people here are very against trading a bonafide talent for "potential" and I can definitely see the problem with that. But the thing is, we wouldn't be getting chumps in return. Belinelli is a very capable and creative scorer who would flourish playing alongside his friend and country mate...Talk all the trash you want, I know this guy has skills, believed it even before he was drafted. Sure he may not be the most aggressive defender, but he's young and has a lot of room to grow.

Turiaf just provides a great amount of defense and hustle from the bench. This is the guy who, in an ideal world, Humphries should play like. Intensity and hustle can not be taken for granted. We've all seen what our team right now is capable of when playing with a bit of fire and craziness.

Rounding it all off is Anthony Randolph, who I'm not too familiar with but from what I hear is a very intriguing prospect. This guy definitely has a future ahead of him and is exactly what a team like ours can use if say Marion or whatever SF we had would go down to injury. Mega-athletic, very long, and can impact both sides of the floor. This guy can be a Josh Smith if he plays his cards right...

One final note is the 1st round pick that they'd send us, giving us 2 lottery picks to use however we see fit. Great for stockpiling young talent or trading one or 2 off for a very good piece.

In essence, this deal leaves us with a boatload of youth and the potential to grow into a young and exciting team that works on both ends of the floor. Add in a good coach and some veteran presence and we might have a contender.

Mediocre would be a huge improvement for this team. They are not "mediocre" right now. They are horrible. 14th place out of 15 teams in the East. The one team below them has been without two of their best players in the entire season. Otherwise the Raptors would be dead last.

Maybe , but all the guys we are getting come from a team with a worse record than the Raptors which in my opinion means they are not that great. Why would being on the Raptors all of a sudden turn them into superstars?
