Exclamation Ford: Bosh pining privately to return to the US

Quote:
Bosh has been pegged since last year as the major free agent most likely to bolt his team. But the Raptors have been playing better basketball of late and decided to roll the dice and not trade Bosh at the deadline. Although Bosh has been privately pining to return to the States -- especially somewhere warm -- I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that he'll leave. Still, the Raptors are really going to be sweating it out.

You can expect every one of the teams with cap space to make a push for him, with the Heat as the most interesting option; a Bosh-Wade combination would be very formidable. And don't count out the Bulls, who would love to add him to their young core of Derrick Rose, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah.

If he was pining (a big IF), then he'd leave. The fact this writer leaves the door open to Chris staying (thus covering his bases), he's really saying nothing.

I'd have a better chance of believing T.J. Ford than Chad Ford...

Source? Anyone can say just about anything without backing it up. Here goes: Bosh is privately building a nuclear bomb. I just said it. Believe me.

LeBron is privately pining to go the Raptors because he doesn't like warm weather.

Really, there are a very select few NBA cities where it gets warm over the winter periods/NBA season. If does bolt to another team, it's because he wants more exposure/endorsement oppourtunities. I mean, even in the guy's hometown, he's an after thought.

Aha! And he's using Americanium taken from old smoke detectors and thinks that in Canada they only use Canadium in their smoke detectors, so he has to get on a team south of the border if he wants to carry out his plans, because bringing bags full of old smoke detectors across the border is just a hassle.

I'm reasonably sure that there has already been at least one other thread posted about this same subject. It showed up again because Ford published a "new" article that was very similar to this one:

Looking ahead: Free-agent class of 2010 - NBA - ESPN (from November 3rd, 2009)

Here is the old quote:

Quote:
4. Chris Bosh, Raptors (PO)
Bosh has been pegged since last year as the young star free agent most likely to bolt his team. The Raptors have been struggling, and Bosh has been privately pining to return to the States. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that he will leave, but the Raptors are really sweating it. They need to show huge improvement this season.

You can expect every one of the teams with cap space to make a big push for him. The Heat might be the most interesting option. A Bosh-Wade combination sounds very formidable. And don't count out the Bulls. They want him, and with young players such as Derrick Rose and Luol Deng on the squad, he'd have a bright future in Chicago.

And Dwayne Wade enjoys playing with a frustrating lineup therefore he will not bolt because Miami is warm and cozy and friendly

its going to be funny when Bosh, Lebron, and Wade all sign with there teams

leaving Chicago, New York, Miami, and New jersey fighting for Carlos Boozer, Amare, and Joe Johnson and Rudy Gay

if I was the knicks right now I would get contracts ready for Amare, Joe Johnson and Rudy Gay, all of htem close to max deals

Amare will stay in Phoenix or go to Miami.

IMO:

Amare goes to Miami, therefore Wade stays.

LBJ stays in Cleveland with a championship contender (@ home)

Bosh stays in Toronto as BC makes a move or two to convince Bosh we're headed in the right direction

Johnson either stays in Atlanta or ends up in Chicago or NY, likely NY.

Gay won't stay in Memphis imo, he'll probably end up in NY or Chicago or maybe even NJ.
