Exclamation Five worst teams in the NBA

Quote:
2. Toronto Raptors

Toronto fans had resigned themselves to the departure of Chris Bosh. They weren't unhappy to see Hedo Turkoglu's contract shipped off to Phoenix. But what remains? Maybe the least athletic team in the league, led by former No. 1 pick Andrea Bargnani (pictured), who has improved but still isn't adept at creating his own shot. Indeed, the Raptors have shooters galore but won't be able to rebound, run or defend. That's not a recipe for success in the NBA

Do ya ever wonder how the Raps feel when they read this kinda stuff?

I'm curious.

Does it make em feel like shit and wanna give up, or does it make them wanna prove themselves?

Missing the mark on their criticism. The Raptors are clearly built right now to be a young, athletic team that runs the floor.

Won't be able to run???

That may be the one thing they're most capable of.

 We wont be able to run with this roster? Wow idiots, Barbosa, is a one man fastbreak, We dont have a true center so Bargnani can beat the opposing 5's down the court with easy. Amir johnson runs the floor well, and demar and Weems, are high flyers. I dont think where that bad, its just different roles, and different players are gonna have to step up. If they dont, then we will have a bad season, if they do then are success will surprise people. And i see Cavs being one of the worst teams. Every single player on that team, fed off lebron, no lebron then there pretty shit

I can't say I disagree with the ranking.

It's the analysis of the team that's completely off-base.

Well look on the bright side. At least we can't disappoint the American media by underachieving again this season.

They are probably laughing their asses off.

I highly doubt we are going to be the second worst team in the league, but even if we are, it won't be for the reasons described in that article.

Least athletic??? I dont know if a lot of people know but we have some guy who was robbed in the slam dunk contest, not to mention sonny weems and amir johnson who can hold their own. We also have a ridiculously athletic 6,7 CENTER! Dont forget some guy named Ed Davis. How the hell is Cleveland not there? I would say also Golden State and New York are worse. NY is gonna be the worst team in the league IMO. Triple team Amare and the rest of the team cant do anything. The only three decent players they have are Kalenna Azubuike, Anthony Randolph and STAT. Dont start talking about Wilson Chandler and Gallinari, theyre average players on a horrendous team, of course theyd put up shots especially in D'Antoni's system. Knicks vs. T'Wolvez for worst record.
Oh yeah and this is from FOX

it's off-base, but I can't blame them. It might be pretty hard to look at a bunch of bench players as starters, and then try to figure out just what is going to happen with this team. That is what makes the whole botched Chandler trade so disappointing. With that move everything became much less murky, and you could get a sense that they might be able to run with some success. Now it's hard to see where they differ all that much from last season, trying to run and running out of gas, unless they give Barbosa a Jennings-like role and somehow emphasize defense enough.

Least atheletic team? Won't be able to run? Did they even look at our roster or are they only basing this on Bosh leaving like most americans?

Jack, Barbosa, Demar, Weems, Amir, Davis can all run the floor and are athletic.

That's great - now show me the legit starters in that list and how they make up for the big minutes expected of Bargnani, Calderon, and Kleiza. Not to mention that calling Jack athletic is a bit of a stretch.

Being able to run requires much more than just running sprints up and down the court. Undoubtedly there are players here that could plug into a running system, but there would be pieces undeniably missing as well, and in such a scenario, it would be really hard to see where the talents of the less athletic players are going to fit in - because they are not going to do the necessary work of rebounding and defending. That is what you call a mish mash, so again - it's not hard to see why anyone would have a hard time seeing how it's going to work or what's going to work.

you would think we only won 15 games last year the way media talks about our team last year, like it was the worst team ever, ya our defensive numbers are bad but we still won 40 games, defense is relative to the style of play you play, if we played kevin oneal ball we would be a top defensive team but we probably wouldn't have won 40 games playing that way

honestly I wouldn't mind being a bottom feeder if that means we get a top 5 pick, but if we were I would like to see the ball in demar derozans hands

but with that said there is no way we will be a bottom feeder we got to much talent for that to happen, losing turk means nothing he didn't give us anything last year, i remember lots of people said you couldn't play turk, bargs, and Calderon at the same time because there bad defensive players which Bargs being the best out of 3, well got rid of turk, Calderon probably coming off the bench meaning Bargs and caldy probably won't play much together, eliminates some of our defensive issues right there

but with guys like Bargnani,Demar, Amir, Jack, Calderon, Kleiza, Davis, Sonny, Barbosa, Belinelli who can explode on any given night,
