Well.... first game I've watched in a while and I actually kind of enjoyed it. Good ball movement and some scrappy play. Was nice to see.

He hasn't played much the last 4-5 games. It's rather odd to say the least.

Nice game. Really enjoyable. Having a harder and harder time remembering about the tank in-game these days - says a lot about the growth of this team.

Gay is looking more and more the weak link on this team. He brings it defensively only in spurts, and offensively hasn't really had a good game in ages (he's been passing well lately, but that comes in spurts too). Frankly, the only times I remember about my tanking hopes are after the second or third play in a row where he jacks up a terrible shot.

Oh, and if Fields sitting is the cost of Ross getting real development minutes until Rudy is moved, I'll gladly pay it, knowing that he'll be his usual do-everything-except-shoot self when he gets back in the game.

I guess that would also explain the rare sightings of Augustin as well. Dwayne Casey is flummoxed by substitutions. Why did he wait so long to put Amir back in and why did he keep Novak on the court in 4th quarter....Maybe he thought Amir fouled out with 5 PF

Gay looks like he has to go. Unless his buddy Kyle talks him into passing the ball, especially out of the double-teams, he will be hurting our offence for as long as he is on the floor. DeRozan should work on his decision-making as well, but Gay is definitely a standout in this regard.

Sixers won. They're still nippin' at your heels for that top spot in the Atlantic.

imho Gay looked good this game, he wasn't the black hole that he was in previous games. Little to no contested shots, no ill advised shots, good passing and trusting his teammates more. He even showed life when on the bench and in huddles.

There were some ugly turnovers, his ballhandling was atrocious. But from an attitude standpoint this was a whole other Rudy than in previous games if you ask me.

I didn't even have to facepalm once, which is quite the accomplishment for Gay.

John Wall had 37 points on 74% shooting? How the heck did you guys win this game?

What did you guys think of Lowry taking charge of the team on the court?
Dressing down JV in the third after he made a mistake (with DD and Rudy chipping in)?

And is DJ Augustine finally hungry?

..am I actually excited about the Raptors!?

They didn't dress down JV. They were telling him to just move past it.

Whatever it was I loved it. I was having doubts about whether Jonas is really a part of the group, but I don't anymore. The way they all came together (even Rudy) was great to see.

Rudy Gay's defense is damn good, 4 blocks, I've noticed its getting better as the season goes along,

I think its over looked with all his offensive issues

what rudy does is far more effective than derozan, rudy plays both ends of the floor where demar kind of floats around on defense, rarely has a defensive play

if you ask me trading demar seems like the better move at this point, especially with ross sitting right there to take his place

if Detroit was ever down demar for josh smith

I agree about Rudy bringing some sound defense at times and we do overlook this given his offensive woos ...
While DD for Josh Smith would certainly bring some interesting talent, I think Josh is making Max and having Rudy and Josh at that level wouldn't make a lot of sense unless Rudy was next in line to go
