one of most entertaining matches in years. Great efforts form most of the guys, DD outstanding especially the way he went to the rim;Jose Jose; Amir; Kleiza ...but still miss the closer. Bargs did not do much in prime time and overtime;a couple of weak ass moves to rim but he got saved by rope-a-dope move at the top of key...You can see the diff between and Al Jefferson and Milsap and our bigs ...do not lose hope

Wow Derozan played 60 minutes with 33 shot attempts lol. I was watching this game in the lunch room at work during the 4th.

Epic game! They were actually showing Raptor highlights on the Blazer channel.

Speaking of confidence, i have no confidence in this team. ever. I'd be surprised if any of you here do. As soon as Jefferson hit that 3, i knew it was done.

I'm such a jaded Raptors fan it's not even funny. i like this team, but i fucking hate this team if you know what i mean.

Jazz commentators were very entertaining to listen to. Not too much, not too little. Weren't that one sided like most of the commentators in NBA

I'm convinced that we'd be 3-4 by now if not some bad decisions by DC. No Kleiza in Indiana game was big mistake. Bad subs and again, not enough Kleiza in Jazz game. We don't need luck, we need better decisions.

Kleiza fouled out, he had no choice but to not play him

It's just such a shame that Lucas had a toe on the 3-point arc, as did Bargnani when fouled. And that DeMar had a poor night shooting freethrows, let alone getting calls. It felt like one of those nights where the refs were hoping to influence the outcome, but even they couldn't have hoped for that Jefferson shot going in.

It was cool that DeMar got the chance to win it at the end of the first OT. He was deserving of that. But I really wish Casey looked past that and drew up a play for Lucas, who had fresh legs and was in really good form last night. Instead of hitting the shot that dragged the game into OT3, he could have made the shot that won it much earlier.

It was an enjoyable game, and made a few things clear. There is some really good potential with a backcourt of Lowry and DeRozan. The team won't go anywhere by trading baskets, so hopefully they get back to the identity they started to build upon last season. And there is enough heart with these guys still, for now.

loved the last paragraph. Exactly how i see it.

Need to go back to prioritising D and look for Lowry and DD to spark us offensively. I still believe our bench has a big role to play. Caldy, Lucas, Ross, Kleiza, Amir and Ed can all give us something. As said the rotations have been poor, but also these guys just haven't hit their stride yet. Well, Amir and Jose have been good, but the pure points scorers haven't been firing yet.

and then there's bargs. He just doesn't fit in man. I like him, think he's a real good player, not into the criticising of him as an individual talent but as part of this team he just forces it and doesn't fit the system. Someone like Millsap would fit so much better.

I love Demar, but it will be cooler when he matures to the point where he doesn't need to be fantasy Kobe/MJ, opting to forego great position at the top of the free throw line and dribble out past the three.

All he had to do was hold the ball after receiving the pass from Jose and he had Utah firmly by the balls. Just hold and wait; throw in a couple fakes with 4 seconds left; make a shot or make a pass for a wide open shot - game over. Instead we got the whirly dirly nonsense.

But I still love him - he just needs to mature still.

The nice thing was that he showed a lot of maturity through most of this game. The assists were wonderful. And they helped him score easier. The rebounds were nice too. Then he looked like he lost confidence in his teammates, and maybe a little in himself as well.

It's funny you say fantasy Kobe/MJ. He reminded me a fair bit of a year 3 or 4 VC to me. The VC that had a bounce in his step and could make scrubs look pretty good, but would maddeningly start over dribbling on the perimeter, letting defenses off the hook, and settling for bad shots, while letting games get away. The bad news is he isn't going to reach Vince's level beyond a faint shadow, but maybe the good news is that his shortcomings last night will not become commonplace soon enough, and not ever approach all the between the legs nonsense and fearful fadeaways. I have high hopes for him and Lowry working off of each other.

He and Lowry form a backcourt that are easy to cheer for. I think he'll actually become, and will need to be the calming influence between the two just because Lowry tends to over-work himself when the contest gets heated.
