Nope - I just confirmed on league pass. Ross cut it to 100-95 with Amir on the court. Novak came in on the ensuing SA time-out.

Raptors also had timeouts at their disposal so Casey could have gone Patterson for D, Novak O.

3:16 Steve Novak enters the game for Amir Johnson 90-100

I got that on both espn and nba.com.

A 10-point lead late against the spurs is pretty much game over. I would guess that Casey has been struggling to find some kind of role for Novak. It could just be for the purposes of being able to trade him easier. The optics have not been great by any means. But i don't think it was inexcusable bumbling. More like hoping and offering an opportunity to appease a free agent signing.

Now they go to NY and Casey will irritate me if he puts Novak into the regular rotation just to face his old team.

you're right - apparently i need my glasses for more than just work. Nonetheless, Novak gave a great breather for Amir - Casey should have put him back in down 5 with two minutes to go; that's a game.

That's true. They need to move him for a second rounder basically. I'm really liking patrick patterson.

The boxscore doesn't show it, but I feel like Mills really outplayed Vasquez in their 15 minutes of playing against eachother.

absolutely he did.

The only thing I remember from Vasquez was he hit a 3 at one point. Otherwise, he was quite disastrous.

Yes, they're very useful for planning.

You could schedule which days you're going to be team tank or treadmill!

Mills definitely outplayed Vasquez. He was all over him the whole game. I just didn't understand why Vasquez didn't try to match Mills defensive intensity when he was guarding him. I know Vasquez is not great defensively, but at least put up a solid effort and make the other guy work just as much as he is make you work.

Man not trying to be a hater but does anybody else feel like Vasquez just puts up brick 3 after brick 3 when he shoots?

And this is why once/if/when KL is dealt this team will succumb to a nice decline. This man is pretty horrid defensively and with him and DD neither will be even able to attempt to guard starting level PGs. GV will just serve his purpose of feeding JV. KL and Amir's impacts on the team just cannot be undermined or undervalued.

So true! Vasquez must be the slowest PG out there.
The tension is very important and KL provides it!
