Good realism, but it wouldn't play on air.

I really like seeing Hornacek coaching. I always loved him, and his demeanor is somewhat Sloan-like as a coach.

that's not an elbow, it's a direct punch - it it connects, that's a knock out. I think he will probably get some fine if not a suspension after the fact anyway.

that is, quite clearly, a fist-pump, not a punch. he is celebrating vigorously, and potentially not aware of how close he came to hitting him until afterwards. this was, in no way, an aggressive move towards plumlee.

look at the whole play - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_PpX2mfr4M#t=11

I hope it was on purpose. We need more sharp elbows in our attitude. Word around the league is that teams can take liberties with the Raptors. This year, even Psycho-T can't be called that. We just don't get into other teams faces. We're the "nice" Raptors. If we had some more nasty in us, we just might get a little more space on guarding us, a little more room to operate. On Thursday, Bargnani got tossed from the Nets game for getting into it with KG. That never would have happened here, but put him in New York, with Chandler and Martin and JR and Melo, and suddenly some spine develops. We're seen as soft around the league, and until we do something to change that, other teams will continue to take liberties with us. Even PHX was showing some nasty. Look at Indiana, the Spurs, the Bulls, the Heat, all the best teams have some nasty in them.

look at the whole play - JV Impressive STRONG to the Tin | Raptors vs Suns | December 6, 2013 | NBA 2013-14 Season - YouTube
you are right, now I remember the play from the game and I had the same impression, but the game was shown from a different angle. From the angle in the gif, it really does look like an attempt to punch plumlee.

Watch the play again. Right after JV scores, Plumlee knees him in the nuts. The elbow was on purpose.

total bs. 2 guys go up to contest jv's shot, and they come down in a bit of a clump. jv just went hard to the rack and dominated, so he celebrates. that's all this is. and you can tell because no sun player reacts at all.

That's junk. JV then threw an elbow at Morris when he ran back down the floor. PHX was taking liberties with the Raptors throughout the game, and JV at least stood up.

massive stretch dude. honestly, you're really looking hard to find something here. i think there's a reason no one else is talking about it, phx hasn't mentioned it, and nothing has openly been sent to the league.
