Cavs FINAL: Toronto Raptors 96 - Cleveland Cavaliers 88

Quote:
The Raptors have had Cleveland’s number since LeBron James and Chris Bosh took their talents elsewhere two summers ago. Toronto has won four of the five meetings, three by at least 15 points.

The biggest reason for the Raptors’ success was Andrea Bargnani, who averaged 22.3 points on 54.1 percent shooting in the four wins while sitting out the lone loss.

The Cavaliers won’t be happy to see Bargnani back on the court, but his return after missing 20 games with a calf injury hasn’t equated to wins for the Raptors. Bargnani had eight points in a 105-86 loss at Detroit on Saturday, then scored 11 as Toronto fell 105-99 at home against Milwaukee on Sunday.

“We know how good he is and I need him back, everybody needs him back, and when he gets back to the level that he was at we are going to be a very dangerous team,” guard Jerryd Bayless said.

Bayless scored 16 points Sunday while starting for Jose Calderon, who’s day-to-day with a sprained ankle.

Regardless of which player starts opposite Irving on Tuesday, the Cavaliers will want to pay close attention. Calderon has averaged 17.5 points and 14.0 assists in Toronto’s last two visits to Cleveland, while Bayless has put up 38 points in 48 minutes in two games against the Cavs with the Raptors.

Blazers are 1.5 games back of being 13th in the Western Conference, with only the lowly Kings and Hornets below them.

You don't have to tell me that. Paul Allen spent a ton of bread on our team. Our tank is all blinged out with diamonds and gold and shit.

Same.

Couple years ago you could not convince me to do anything else if the Raps were playing. Not that they were super awesome or anything then, but it was different. I understand the importance of the rebuild. But it blows to not have anything to get excited about as things presently stand.

yup.

And people happy about loses like it means we are going to get lebron james in the draft.

Capspace is what we should be happy about right now.

Capspace, a high draft pick and a young incoming C prospect.

Would rather a team that wins a few more games and has a pick in the 7-12 range with the capspace and a young income C

Why? you don't want shot at Anthony Davis?

If we got the #1 pick we should absolutely trade it. All the hype behind this guy would create the perfect trade scenario.

I kind of don't get this. I think January was probably the lowest point of the cycle and the team will be improving for the rest of the season. Demar and Ed have been getting better, JJ and Bargs have already shown a lot of improvement. I think watching a team get better is exciting.

I have the impression that there about 7 other teams with the same or more capspace next year, so I find it hard to get excited imagining what BC will do with it.

hardly a franchise player in my opinion.

im definately not as high on his as alot of people.

defensively the kids awesome, he plays hard and he is very gifted athletically.

but I cant see him being as effective at the next level with his lack of size, nor can i see him being able to really add any size to his small frame.

Not to mention as the team currently sits now he isnt a good fit so either someone currently on the team now goes(Demar and Bargs) or he goes.

And if we kept him we would have to hope he develops into what he could potentially be(I hope he does, seems like a nice kid)

But to go through a season waatching team lose over and over and over and over again, I would at least want a Durant or a Lebron as the top pick in the draft, someone who is instantly going to turn a franchise around. Not a prospect.

edit..

Would rather win a few more games, stay competetive, maintain capspace and add guys like Beal, MKG or Lamb.

Bayless better pass the FKing Ball.

-When Andrea is in the post backing down a smaller player, pass him the ball.
-When you run the screen and roll, you pass back to the roller.

We've got about 5 million of it playing for the team right now! Does the little things, sets picks, dives for loose balls. Just gotta watch more closely. It's like Jorge Garbajosa, if Garbo was a form of financial flexibility.
