And our bench is actually looking really solid for once. Vasquez is getting acclimated to the team, Salmons has been very solid and made good team plays, TH and Patterson have both played hard, and I think Patterson is only gonna get better if we hold onto him.
There was one play in particular (in the 4th) where Scola just could not get the ball over Amir if he used a fucking ladder.
Amir is a champ, simple as that.

Channel 96 for that Replay, baby!

Wow statement game. Myself and some buddies were watching this game together. Easily the best game I watched for a very long time.

I had seats six rows up in the platinums. A gift from a customer. So good. Probably the best game i've been to. Didn't want it to end. I am just loving how these guys are playing physical and smart.

I can't say much really, as I was pro-tank before the Rudy Gay trade. Once the deal was done I basically gave them a chance to prove me wrong about keeping the tank going. Let me say, they definitely are proving me wrong and I'm fucking happy they are

That was really enjoyable to watch. It's really weird watching how much this team has changed even since the first week that Gay was traded.

I don't think a Raptor team has rotated that well defensively since the VC playoff days. Everyone was on a string tonight, and the help defence inside by not only the bigs, but the guards too was so impressive. We cut off every easy opportunity they had inside. There were multiple plays where they got the ball inside, and in watching over the years, 98% of the time you know the opposing team was going to score, but tonight not only did they not score, they didn't even get a shot up because the rotation was there so quickly.

We played championship level defence tonight. That's mindblowing. I can remember at least 5 plays, as stated above, that the rotations were Miami or Indiana esque. West had 2 plays where he spun past his man, and the second big came over so quickly he couldnt even get an opportunity at the rim, had to pass it out late in the shot clock, and there was no room for the perimeter player to shoot either. Incredible stuff.

The only thing I didn't like was late in the game when Ross stole the ball from George, he threw it ahead to Demar, who pulled a Gay and dribbled it 3 times instead of making the easy alley oop or chest pass to JV who was waiting under the rim, and passed it too late. JV got fouled, but Demar had the audacity to call JV out for bringing the ball down, something he rarely does. News flash Demar, if you actually dribbled with your head up and made the easy pass, it would have been an easy 2 points. That pissed me off.

But other then that, that was a great win. We played so smart, we even drove it to the basket every time when we had the penalty in our favor. There was so many good things in this game it was truly a treat to watch.

Ross is by far the player of the game. He out played George, and shut him down. His quickness tonight on both ends was very encouraging.

Great, great defensive win. I haven't seen this type of an effort from our team in quite some time. Bravo!

Perhaps, if they keep playing like this and don't overpay, we could actually lure a free agent superstar here?

I know, I know, dreaming... I still believe in draft as the only source of a franchise-level talent for Toronto, but man, this was really, really enjoyable.

Looking good for home court advantage in first round

Good start to new year.
let's not get too ahead of ourselves. i'd love for home court advantage too. maybe even 3rd seed, but there is a TON of ball to be played.

Was at the game as well - some seriously good vibes happening in the building tonight. Proves that this city wants so desperately to get behind the team.

I think some of the most impressive stuff tonight was the individual defense played by Ross on Paul George. His hands were incredibly active and he clearly was frustrating the heck out of George through sheer will. Coupled wit his increased offensive responsibility he is really capitalizing on the opportunity he's been given.

Keep ya head up, man.
We got some cap room to work with, and great players can be drafted in the 16-24 options - we just gotta be smart.

Futures bright!

Maybe in the summer of 2015 when there's a lot less committed salary for 2015/2016. It would be near impossible to do that this summer.

If the Raps keep playing like this.... trust me.... players are going to take notice. I don't think that anyone views us an "easy game" anymore.

This is rapidly becoming my favourite Raps squad EVER. Not a guy on the squad who doesn't play his ass off and the D and ball movement are just beautiful to watch.

Full credit to Ross too. Kid played a great game against top tier competition.

What a freaking game. Just managed to watch the CHI game and then straight on to the Indy game. Both great games - tough game against the Bulls that we pulled through. Awesome game in Indy. My irrational fan side is overpowering my rational thinking side. Still would love to see some trades to dismantle the team, but I am freaking loving this. I officially place my trust in Ujiri and am getting on this wild ride. No more emotional detachment for me.

I love everyone on this team, even when they screw up the come back and play hard. Fav win of the year so far, even with the OKC game.

This is the first time in many years that the "team" has played together as a unit. There is no superstar ego pushing the other players. Casey isnt over coaching and has them all on the same page. It really is refreshing to watch.

We are back to ugly if Lowrey gets traded. Strange enough, it looks like he is enjoying being a leader more now that Gay is gone. He had a problem with a call (the foul before the goal tend) and went over and corrected the refs with respect and the call went his way. I thought he was auditioning for the Knicks, but he looks very happy here. Tough call for MU.
