The team as a whole is as confusing as Salmons. Salmons is playing good solid defense, and the offense is run through him for some reason, and half the time he chucks up a bad shot or forces a drive and almost turns it over but gets a bailout call and I can't stand watching it but we won! So who cares.

Not hopping off the tank. But I sure do enjoy watching this team play competitive basketball. Might just be a hot streak, but it's an enjoyable hot streak.
players are playing to win not to lose no matter how bad or good the players are...

its all up to the gm for the tank

And there is 0 chance we'd beat MIA or IND, and I'd guarantee that the margin of victory would be 10+ for either of those teams against us. We might be close for the first half in 1 or 2 of the home games maybe, if you qualify that as compettitive.

You guys get way too caught up in the high's of the wins and don't recognize how bad this team still is. We're a below .500 team whose only in the playoff hunt because the NBA's Easten conference is so terrible right now. We're not a good team. If we were in the Western conference we'd be in the basement. Think about that, and tell me if you still think we're any good, or if this teams main core of players is good enough to carry us to being contenders for years to come, and you'll see where we are right now.
Speaking of the weak EC, does anyone know what teams records were at this point in previous years? Want to see where a 11-14 record would stand.

Way to over react to what was partly a joke rofl, jesus man. Get over yourself.

The part of it being kind of competitive I meant, not actually winning. You go that ballistic hahaha. Comical.

Amir Johnson had 17 points and 13 assists for Toronto, which won its fourth straight road game, its longest such streak since March-April 2002. Oklahoma City lost for the first time since Dec. 4 at Portland.

Lol check this link what a typo:

I have such a crush on Amir. I want him to wrap me up warmly in his 'Big Daddy' robe.

I'm pro-tanking as much as you are, but we're better than you give us credit. I think if we could hold the 4th seed, we'd have a decent chance to win the 1st round. It's not like det/was (most likely opponents) are tearing the league. And our defense is better than either of those, which is pretty big in the playoffs.

I'd trade a 2nd round appearance for a good draft pick in a heartbeat though ... If we don't trade lowry, this team will fuck up and win 42-44 games. I really hope masai doesn't get caught in that.

Damn..... and I thought I was a bit of a homer lol.

As much as I've enjoyed the better ball I'd have to agree with BDL on this one. I just don't think that we'd stand a chance against any of those teams in a 7-game series.

DET is the one that's most "green" and they have some cracks in the back court and at the FT line... but that front line *shudder*.

Yep. Because I believe that winning builds character and forces players around the league to take us seriously (rather than looking at TOR as a joke franchise). Also gives our guys some playoff experience, which is very important.

I also have a lot more faith in Masai (to improve the team without merely relying on a high pick) than I ever did in BC.

Dat Uzoh triple double, much character. I bet everybody took us seriously after that. Totally worth it to be taken seriously if you lose out better prospects.

Lol... I take no responsibility for BC's idiocy over the last few years. We still had opportunities here... he just squandered them.

Are people going to take us seriously if our team consists of Wiggins and a bunch of scrubs?

Amir

So much more promise than this garbage.

We would have had Lillard with that pick if we lost to the Nets. They would have been 23-43, we would have been 22-44. But it's worth it for the bragging rights that last 24 hours, right?

How many years has CLE had a top 5 pick now?

Seems to be working out like gangbusters for them eh?

Does it matter who takes us seriously? The team is Canadian, it will always get disrespected. As long as that's the case I'd rather have a team with a young star in the making than a team with 3-4 ok guys.

But then again, all that is besides the point. When would this team ever become Wiggins and a bunch of scrubs? I've said it once, I'll say it again, we don't have to deal all of our starters to tank. Deal Lowry for youth/picks/1-2 year contracts, that's a HUGE impact on this team, I'm talking like 15+ wins. Not because Lowry is that amazing himself, just that he fills a need for this team and with him gone we'd struggle a lot to create shots. Deal Amir for a similar package and the team is much worse on defence, that's another 15 or so wins. Even if you disagree with that, and ignore that, you have said yourself you trust Masai to build around this team. If the team sucks does he suddenly become a dumbass? Would you rather him build a team around Amir, Lowry, DeMar and Val or a top prospect, DeMar, and Val. Imo the choice is easy.

Yes, let's use the example of the team who has consistently had shitty picks that were reaches and that everybody knew were shitty the instant they were picked. Waiters was projected 8th, Thompson was projected 7th, and Bennett was projected around 6th. Masai, the champion of maximizing value, would never reach that far with a high pick. He'd trade the pick down while extracing maximum value and still get the guy he wants. The one time Cleveland did pick BPA they got Kyrie who is easily better than anyone on our team. That has no bearing on any rebuilding we do.
