during the thunder post game they commented on a celtics record for home wins that was ridiculous

man it'd be awesome if your team had 40 home wins

I hear what tank nation is saying, these wins may cost us a top draft pick , but the problem is deep down everyone kinda wants their team to win ( don't get me wrong, this year I'm sure most of us aren't upset when they lose ie draft position) 2. they're way more fun to watch 3. Even a top draft pick may end up being a dud or get hurt ask Greg Oden how his career has been 4. Other than MIA or IND I'll take my chances against anyone in the first round 5. What happens if that crappy mid round pick actually turns out to be solid and we can keep KL ? I'm not saying not to tank I'm just saying this is MLSE and often even with the # 1 pick they can screw it up

I dunno, current setup seems to work out fine. Ross starts and Salmons finishes
Just noticed Novak played 0 minutes, did 0 stuff, but ends up with +5 in boxscore

What is going on with this team...

The team as a whole is as confusing as Salmons. Salmons is playing good solid defense, and the offense is run through him for some reason, and half the time he chucks up a bad shot or forces a drive and almost turns it over but gets a bailout call and I can't stand watching it but we won! So who cares.

Not hopping off the tank. But I sure do enjoy watching this team play competitive basketball. Might just be a hot streak, but it's an enjoyable hot streak.

I just try Enjoy the games. Watch the young talent we do have develop. I trust Ujiri to get us a very good player in this draft regardless of where we are picking.
If we trade Lowry, we'll have a PG tandem of Vasquez and Stone/Buycks, which is easily the worst in the league, and our offence will suffer considerably from it since we'll have no creativity and offensive movement due to the initial point of attack being gone. You'll no longer see the crisp ball movement from a Lowry/Val or Amir generated pick and roll because teams dont need to worry about Vasquez beating them by scoring or penetrating, nor the backups.

We'll essentially go back to being a late clock, low efficiency chucking team without Lowry, and our defence will suffer immensely too since Vasquez may be a worse defender than Calderon.

We do have a chance to finish bottom 3 if we trade Lowry. He's what's making this team go during this winning period.

Even NY and Brooklyn beat us to the bottom and they dont even have their picks. If you think we suck at winning may I remind everyone we suck at tanking as well? And even ending up with high pick we suck at drafting.

Lets win more games, its fun!

If the playoffs were to start today we would have home court advantage in the first round and play the Wizards.

That's a pretty high chance of making it to the second round.

I get what you're saying though.

If we kept playing like this there'd be a micro chance at a 3rd round man. It would at least be competitive

Wizards have a slightly better record than the raps so to say that's a pretty high chance of proceeding to the EC SF is a tiny bit misleading.

poor shooting by kd mixed with some good defense and ofc a lot of free throws for them. Our offence was trash tho in the dying minutes, bailed out by the refs tbh. It looks like all we do is shoot open jumpers off the pick and roll, not enough ball movement in the dying seconds

So one game = the same as a season series of 2-3 games and 57 games left to play? Not to mention we are s**t all at home this season thus far.

there is a -100% chance we make it to the ECF unless Masai is literally jeebus.

I know, I didn't actually think it would be possible, I'm just going by the last few games where its been competative :P But we'd have to go through Miami or Indy so meh. I do think if we played how we are now we'd keep it competitive.

Wow, this has to go in the RF Hall of Shame, and has to be one of the most overreactionary responses to any topic in messageboard history.

We wouldn't beat the Wizards. Or Pistons. Or Hawks.

And there is 0 chance we'd beat MIA or IND, and I'd guarantee that the margin of victory would be 10+ for either of those teams against us. We might be close for the first half in 1 or 2 of the home games maybe, if you qualify that as compettitive.

You guys get way too caught up in the high's of the wins and don't recognize how bad this team still is. We're a below .500 team whose only in the playoff hunt because the NBA's Easten conference is so terrible right now. We're not a good team. If we were in the Western conference we'd be in the basement. Think about that, and tell me if you still think we're any good, or if this teams main core of players is good enough to carry us to being contenders for years to come, and you'll see where we are right now.

exactly. Look at the way their offensive execution, its not going to work in a playoff series
