Would like to know where we rank in terms of team assists over these last 12 games.... bet we're top 5 at least.

This is absolutely the type of game that the old Raptors would have dropped and coasted through after a big win. Seeing another decisive victory against a 'should-beat' is almost as important as our previous ones.

First of all, Joey Crawford is the worst referee in the history of sports. That ejection was just him trying to be the center of attention as usual.

In terms of the game, it's pretty amazing how we completely controlled them and took over the 3rd quarter with our energy and perfect rotations on defence, and moving the ball to the open man on offence. Just a thing of beauty.

Props to Patrick Patterson. His defence has almost been as good as Amirs lately. He deserved a shooting night like tonight.

Damn I am loving Ross' play of late how good is he on the defensive end. PP going off today as well hitting some three's which was nice to see, and BDL I totally agree about that ejection. Ariza didn't even look like he said anything bad and Joey just fucking tosses him, also JV does that same thing to each other ref and never gets a tech, fucking Joey

We are now 13-5 against teams below .500 and 7-1 (!) against teams below .400

We've arrived guys, we're finally beating the teams that need to be beaten.

P.S. With that pace we'll go 19-3 in our remaining 22 games against sub-.400 teams and 8-5 in our remaining 13 games against sub-.500 teams. (excluding those below .400)

That's 27-8. Let that sink in.

Long time lurker.. Just wanted to post this after the W vs the Wizards
Hollinger's 2013-14 NBA Playoff Odds - National Basketball Association - ESPN

Obviously it's completely based off stats, but 6th favorite to win the championship

Joey Crawford had his moment with Duncan - but he's a go-to-official for the NBA for a reason. They review performance closely on a game by game performance and Crawford is continually one of the best. Ariza didn't complain when he got booted - he wanted the boot.

Ariza never looks like a guy that enjoys playing ball or gives a fuck.

hollinger has us ranked 9th, just behind Miami, and not far off from 6th.

We are a hair's breadth away from being a top five defense and headed towards that.

And we are 27th now in assists - no longer dead last, and heading in the right direction there obviously.

What is very encouraging is the defense. And it has included JV changing shots and boxing out and stars being worn by Ross like a glove. And neither of them are fully aware yet how to play in the NBA. Lets not downplay being good at something. The offensive stats of good teams are always right in your face, but the defensive ones are valuable also. Teams are not expecting the Raps to be able to flip a switch and swarm when they need to. Crunch time is when we used to crumble.

You're the first person I've ever seen stick up for Joey Crawford, so I must ask, why? You've seen enough games to know he's terrible, and loves being the center of attention, and thus tries to take over games with technical fouls and numerous fouls calls to 'get the game under control' when its just him being an attention whore.

Joey Crawford not getting fired after the Tim Duncan incident just goes to show how strong the NBAs referee union is, let alone some of the other calls he's fucked up over the years, and there's numerous examples. The players and fans alike hate him, and we as fans shouldnt even know his name. Referees should just be in the background doing their job, being invisible, not calling technical fouls on anything that moves just so they get more camera time.

You can't tell me he's a good referee with a straight face.

He is a very shitty ref, but like you said their union is so strong now that they are almost guaranteed to keep their jobs no matter how many times they screw up.
