Impressed by the preparedness to defend 3-point line. Our perimeter guys were really making a point to run shooters off the line, forcing guys like Ariza and Webster to become play makers. Raps limited Wizs to only 12 attempts and 4 makes.

True, but the beauty of this team is that someone different is stepping up every night. When someone's having an off night, someone else rises up. PP was there tonight. Might be someone else next game.

So good now, they can take the fourth quarter off on the road and still win by 13!

And that against the team right below them in the standings.
OK, bring on the real test - Miami @ home is next...

That is true and it was shown tonight. Overall, I'm just happy we are playing good team ball and winning

Dude - we had Bargnani for years! He's 7' too! Not to mention we had JYD for years and we had Reggie Evans for a couple too.

There's more to rebounding than just height. Some guys can do it very well (like the second set of guys I mentioned), and some can't do it for shit (Bargs).

Valanciunas had 7 boards in 29 minutes. That's solid. Otto Porter shot a ridiculous falling away high arcing shot late in the game that had no business going in but did. Valanciunas was right there and would have had the rebound, which would have been 8 for the game.

JV played solid D for much of the night; he didnt' get hot from the field like either Amir or Patterson, but he kept Gortat in check and I'd say was a net neutral overall on the night. You make it sound like he was a huge negative. He just didn't light it up or embarrass anyone on D. Amir, Lowry and DeMar all played about 7 more minutes than JV...

How come Casey didn't give garbage guys a minute? So stuck with his 9 man rotation or afraid they'd lose the game?

i was wondering the same thing. probably because the wiz made a small comeback.

if not for the comeback, i would have put in fields, daye and stone out there with a few minutes left it the game.

Don't even care if we that game TBH.... Just want us to compete like we have been and let the chips fall where they may. Can't win 'em all and I'd much rather lose THIS one than one to a team we "should" beat.

I don't think MU pissed him off. Kyle knows it's a business and didn't take it personal. Besides, maybe MU wasn't the one who initiated the trade talks. Maybe NY came calling. Maybe MU has told this to Kyle's agent, because Kyle isn't playing or leading like he's pissed off.

So far, T-Ross has helped contain both John Wall and Paul George in back to back games, making both player look almost pedestrian

Nice win. Rough in spots, but a couple dominating stretches was all it took to win this one handily. At their best, this team is looking like a legitimate threat. It's up to Casey and the players to get that best to appear a little more often, and to keep the lulls to non-disastrous levels as the season goes on.

What I really think could be done to remove those lulls is to have one of Amir or JV on when GV is running point. He looks totally lost out there with no one to run PnR. Never want to see a TH/PP/Hayes combo again except in garbage time.

My other concern is that DeMar is still hurting the team offensively and defensively. I don't mind him jacking up long two's late in the clock when he's anchoring a lineup with no other starters, but when our top unit is out, him chucking is the worst possible option (although that also says something good about that unit - DD is half decent at hitting those terrible contested 2's).

All in all, though, team looking great. Well oiled machine and all that. Let's see what they can do against the best team in the league two years running.
