Nice to give game MVP to PP but it was Lowry no doubt about it.

He shouldn't be going anywhere. This team will fall flat on its face without him. Vasquez hasn't played great, but I'm still giving him time to develop more chemistry with the team and learn the offense. In my opinion, we should attempt to resign Lowry at season's end because we are not getting a better point guard than him anywhere else, plus he is playing great basketball.

Right now I'll take my chances against anyone in the East except Miami and Indiana no matter where we finish (obviously not 7th or 8th)

It would be impressive, but the Raps need to keep playing this type of basketball all season. This is only a sample size of us playing extremely well. We can't say based on about 15 games that we will be title contenders. Truthfully though, I think we will be a solid playoff team, but in no way will we be title contenders. I hope though that this team proves me wrong, as it would be great to see.

Yeah, just like we lost the last two, according to you.

Sunday sees the two hottest teams in the league going at each other. I look forward to it. I don't quite know what to expect at this point. They could pull off some more surprises. That's what playing the right way can do.

Don't know if we can win it, but I expect us to compete like hell.

God, I can't remember the last time I've enjoyed watching Raptors games this much. I feel like a kid again. Getting rid of Rudy Gay got me back into Raptorball lol

Wow, just wow. What an impressive win.

I thought that our effort in the first half was excellent too -- our D was fantastic and our O was pretty good. They just hustled their ass off, fed off the crowd, and Nene and Wall were unconscious. In the 3rd quarter, we just broke them. Their effort tailed off (especially for guys like Nene, classic "play great when he has energy").

In the first half, and then as we put it away in the second, I felt like I was watching the Spurs, not the Raptors. Suddenly, everyone is committed to playing D (except Vasquez, he's a total defensive liability). Amir Johnson's hard work and lunchpail attitude is paying off in a huge way now.
---------

Lastly, I think Patrick Patterson is a real keeper! His effort has been fantastic the past 5 games. I love both his defensive intensity, and his discipline on O. He has 3 point range, and mostly only takes smart shots in the flow of the game. I could see Patterson being a Raptor long term.

This team is starting to gel, and if we stay healthy and hungry, we're not only going to make the playoffs, but we could maybe even get out of the first round. Obviously the Pacers and Heat are in a class well above us right now. But just to be even mentioned as a top 4 team (even in the east) is way better than I had hoped for.

Miami's gonna come out hard at us. At least in the other games at Dallas and Indiana, Raptors were under the radar. We'll see how they respond to being targeted.

Booker had 19 boards last game. Dude is stepping it up on the boards! JV still had a Raptor-high 7 boards in a puny 29 minutes. It's all about context!

Still doesn't change the fact that Booker is about 6'7/6'8 and JV is 7'0 ft. He should be killing Booker on the boards. Amir needed to pick it up on the boards tonight too with the rest of our bigs, but the difference between JV with Amir and Patterson is that Amir and Patterson both scored the ball effectively tonight and were great in defending the paint and impacting the game in numerous ways. Something that JV didn't do tonight, as he seemed like a ghost to me.
