I certainly wouldn't put money on it happening. But, having said that, being tied for the best road record in the conference makes it more believable. It's a possibility I can entertain.

Jeff, guess what?

Washington and Toronto tied Miami for the best road records in the eastern conference this year. The Washington situation was not a total fluke. And it is possible that Toronto could do the same.

Splitting would still be great, though, because we have the pivotal game 5 at home. Asking the basketball gods for 2 wins in Brooklyn might be too greedy.

on the flip side, BKN had a great home record, so it balances out.

Given how close the first two games were, I'd say we have about 40% chance to win either game, which comes up to a 1 in 6 chance we win both (and a 1 in 3 chance we lose both).

Still, a split is by far the most likely outcome and we kind of need it, will be extremely hard to come back from 1-3.

If I was to bet, I'd say we take the 2nd game, it will come after only 1 day of rest, and if we lose the 1st one, we'd have the desperation edge too. But again, in these close games, luck will be the most decisive factor.

About the worst outcome would be to lose both games handily, that would pretty much seal it.

You're gonna end up quoted in a Brooklyn board's "what they're saying thread".

I believe it's possible, but don't think it will happen. I would be pleasantly surprised. I hope you're right.

This stat (maybe not the exact %) is true for all the major sports, that's why tomorrow is HUGE, it's our turn to be the bad guy, I hope DD embraces it as much as PP and KG and goes out there and breaks the hearts of Nets fans.

Baseless, weird feeling...but I think if we win game 3, we're eliminating BK in game 5.
