Wow, crazy game. Anderson and John Lucas stepped up huge. A little worried with Rudy Gay's shot selection. He needs to really limit the 3 point shots.

Steve Novak was guarding Rudy Gay and Alan Andersen when he was out there on the court. He might actually be the worst defender i've ever seen, anyone could just blow by him for the layup or dunk.

i didn't like what i seen from our offense, the ball sticks to much iso

yay we beat the knicks, we should have blown them out by 20

our defense won the game but lets face it knicks didn't have it, if a couple of htem got heated we would have lost

we were fortunate to win that game

Thinking like this is just plain dumb IMO. In any basketball game you could say this....we get blown out b 20....oh if we would have hit a few more shots we would have been right it in....if they lose....if they hit a few more shot they would have beat us.....face it. They couldn't get it done down the stretch and we did, we were the better team. You can't say shit like this, cause it can be said about any game really.

I feel the same about how they could have won by double digits. The funny thing is that it was when the ball stuck less that the decent shots just didn't go down. I have no problem with them winning with defense and grinding out another win. Once the offense finds a good rhythm and better cohesion they are going to win easier, but I still hope they keep the defensive intensity up. Otherwise they'll lose in spite of good offensive performances too often.

You missed the game but then go on to state your opinion as fact. Is this normal for you?

Yet another game where I miss seeing Ed and Amir passing the ball from the top to the middle of the key for easy shot/dunk. Fields seems to be do something similar, but somebody needs to show Jonas, Andrea, and Rudy the tapes of Amir and Ed ripping up defences together. Surely they can figure it out in the post-Jose era.

Unfortunately yes. And he only looks at one position on the floor. I don't think he has a clue there is such a thing as a Center position in the NBA.

Just finished watching the game. Oh my god that was ugly. Uuuuggglyyyy.

The officiating was worse than I've ever seen and I think every fan on either side would agree with this. They missed so many clear calls both ways and then found some phanthom fouls. And gave out 6 techs in a game that was not really heating up between players at any point (well maybe the Chandler elbow on JVal). I bet the Knicks fans are complaining about the refs, but we have good case too.

Some random notes:
- When NY had three techs on Anthony, Tyson and Felton, I was thinking maybe we should mix it up a bit and get them thrown out. But in the end Lowry was stupid enough to get himself thrown out. Maybe that was good for us though.
- The game winner in this game was that Lucas fader 50 secs left in game and one sec on shot clock. I consider that a great play as we took all the time out of the clock we could and then got a shot and even made it.
- I have been critisizing Lucas a lot, but to be honest he has been a big reason why we have been able to win the last three. I still dont like his style as PG, but I guess he is good for few wins a season when he gets hot.
- AA was playing like he was when we had the previous hot streak after AB and Lowry went down. Nice to see, but I hope he doesnt take it as a sign that he is the first option on the team.
- DD is pretty damn consistent. I dont remember him ever scoring 30 points, but again he got his 20
- Fields is a total catastrophy on offense, but his defense and rebounding are worth some money.

Anyway. Its a winning streak and agaisnt good opposition. Not that it matters as we will end up at 9-10th, but maybe its a good start for next season.

Always enjoy your analysis Rudy. I think you nailed it. There was another game recently where the refs were just utterly incompetent going both ways. Sadly I think it's becoming something of a norm.

That's the hardest kind of game to officiate - both teams playing horribly but both teams fighting hard to avoid the L.
