We were better last year with Bargnani than we are this year with Lowry and Bargnani. Lowry is a loser. Houston dumped him and decided it was better to overpay Lin than keep Lowry at his current salary. it's quite telling. They won that deal handliy.

Ha! Well I certainly picked a good game to go to!

An inspired performance by our boys that actually made me PROUD as a fan... boy it's been rare to see!

What can you say about Jose? Masterful performance. He continues to do an incredible job of getting (and keeping) the bigs involved.

Kudos to Alan Anderson. Man, he plays both ways and does it WELL. Finally looks like we might have a CONSISTENT SF.

HOU is doing themselves a disservice by relying on Harden so much. I was shocked that they didn't let Lin attack more TBH.

This game shouldn't have been close at all. Harden got so many unearned FTs the NBA should be ashamed. He was defended well all game by a multitude of Raptors.

Yep. He was defended well. Anderson, Ross and Demar all did pretty well in different possessions, and the bigs changed his shots often enough when he did drive right to the rim. Most of what this guy has consists of charging straight at defenders like a bull. He picks up a lot of steam. He's a bit Lebron like in that way, and probably pretty hard to call any other way. Teams either have to take away his open space where he can pick up steam, or let him go to the line and not give him the pass. I think Toronto played it right. Nobody else got going, nor looked like they wanted to push hard enough to break through and provide a big enough run to win it.

Charge at the rim out of control. If you're a star player you'll get FTs, if you're Derozan or some low-profile player, you get fouled, no call is made and it counts as a turnover.

At least Lin looked like hot garbage. I like him and his work ethic/story is great, but his obnoxious fans make it hard to support him.

He's not exactly out of control. Yes DeMar should get more calls, but he ends up smacking into a crowded paint area much more, whereas with Harden at full speed, the wing players often have to react with a reach in just to keep him from making a big like Amir look bad. Demar can be swarmed at the end of his drive, but once Harden gets near the paint it's too late to have the same effect. If you actively set up so that he can't pick up speed by that point, then you leave too many options for open shots.

It's really not enough for Houston to succeed anyway. People go nuts over Lowry playing only to a degree of that kind of style of play. You do need to allow your offense to flow more than that, as nice as it must be to get to the line so much.

Like his former comrades in OKC, Durant and Westbrook, Harden is also a master of throwing the ball in the air wildly and yelling when he anticipates aggressive defense.

he looks like a lazy guy slobbing through the paint but yet so crafty and gets the ball in the basket, weird player, but effective.

I just find it funny that after we've won two games in a row without Lowry all of a sudden he's a loser and Houston won the trade. No one had a word to say about him being a loser when we were what 6-1 in the preseason or to start the season Lowry put up all star numbers...

He is a great player, but caught with a team that doesn't have enough talent to compete all the time every game. When the team is in a slump and those around you aren't playing well (bargs), it rubs off on the rest of the team.

Lowry is a more than capable PG and I have no doubt after he has really recovered from his injuries he'll be back to play hard.

1- The deal with Lowry was on way before they tried to get Lin; they actually choose Lin over Dragic, not Lowry. Lowry wanted to go, and was in conflict with the coach, that's why got dealt.

2- Houston fanbase does not agree with you; from what I've red, they all think that Lowry is way better than Lin, but they do not regret his trade because it made the Harden one possible.

I noticed what Harden does is push the ball to his chest with one hand and imitate a shot with the other to get a contact. You have to wait and just escort him under the basket. He's basically falling, he won't be able to release the ball high, so just trust your blocking ability.
Some of the calls were ridicuRous though.
