Well, given the outcome I'd take a jump shot over that. I find in those situations the best thing to do is get off a shot quickly. The more you hang onto the ball the more difficult the shot gets. That being said I have little problem with our leader being aggressive and trying to go to the rim.

Between Thornton and KG it was a tough hill to climb. I had hoped their bench would have clenched sphincters. It turns out they did not, and they got KG's best game by far, while the comfort level was not there for Jonas, not entirely there for DeMar, and Lowry could not physically lead defensively like he did most of the season.

If Lowry was not as nicked up, Toronto would have won in 5 or 6 games. It was a bit of a shame that Greivis melted down a bit today and was not able to do more. He's never going to make up for what Lowry can do defensively though, so it's a moot point really.

That'swhere i see Ross being the guy. If Ross was in the same situation he could rise above the defense and get a good shot off. To think of where Ross could go in the next two years - it could really offer a big advantage in the same situations.

I blame Moremilk. Ya'll had to know that we would lose once he changed positions and put us as the favourites.

There was a

"Paul Pierce sucks"

KG Sucks"

"Bullshit"

and there was another chant that I couldn't make out.

There were so many sequences where Jonas was just watching as the ball bounced to a Nets player. He wasn't alone in this either. We really needed a big game from Jonas today, and he disappeared unfortunately.

it did kind of play out like I predicted, we just dug ourselves a bit too big of a hole. That's the danger with these elimination games, you get a guy like thornton catching fire and all bets are off.

With the management we've brought in, why cant we get a big name coach? Isn't that the whole hype around Leiweke? That he's able to bring in the big fish? For a market like ours, we need and deserve a good proven coach for once.
I think demar is not as inefficient as you make him to be. I also believe he could be an effective defender at the 3 if he adds strength this summer. He was utterly embarrassed by JJ this series, and that should motivate him extra.

I am willing to give him one more season - if he can increase his 3pt percentage by 2-3% and improve his defense to average, he's a legit starter in the playoffs. Of course, that goes for ross and JV as well - they need to continue their progress.

As for the big time coach, I don't think we need it yet - maybe next summer or the year after that. A big time coach will just put pressure on management to add players now and rush the process. Let's be real here, whatever moves we make, we have no shot whatsoever to challenge miami in the east. Let's take it easy - we're young enough to have time to grow slowly and smartly. In 2-3 years, miami will be done anyway.

I think that's wrong. This year will be Miami's last rodeo. After the big 3, they're going to have more holes than Swiss cheese. Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Rashard Lewis, Udonis Haslem will be tapped out or close to it. The mileage is starting to add up on DWade as well, but not as badly as the other's. Plus the East is going to be WAY stronger next year. We may not match this years won/loss record even though we'll be better next year. And able to go further in the playoffs.

I went to the game. It was the loudest I've ever heard any arena or sporting event. It was a great game. I wondered what I would read here coming back. Was Lowry not fouled on the last play because it looked like he got hammered... curious is all?

The refs were way too much a factor and did not call it the same on both ends. The foul on KG at the end was a terrible call and DW should have fouled out and a few other examples of terrible calls make me pretty pissed. And it wasn't Joey Crawford, he was ok but the black dude was awful. Even the last play he waits and looks like hes trying to find a way to point BRK way, but he just can't and finally points the other way. Was pretty funny.

We should have won anyway and it shouldn't have come down to one shot. Too much inexpereince showed this series. Ross for most of it and JV today.

I hate that the nets get rewarded. Blatche shoots his mouth off and mostly plays like shit, especially on D and gets completely embarassed clapping at 2pat. The fact that we were one shot from beating the nets confirms to me that Kidd is just stupid. Would really have loved to see a one point win and the cheap Tech by KG the difference. That would have been glorious.

Nice year, good game. fuck brooklyn.
