Not surprised as much as we wanted to win. Bad officiating on both ends but obviously affected us more.

The lack of experience can be seen in this game and its natural. But i'm proud of the Raptors the way they played.

Its good that they gave the last shot to Lowry, but that was very forced. And of course it was a foul, but that wouldnt have been called 90% of the time (Wade would have gotten it though ), not in that situation.

I would still like to see a coach that could have drawn something less predictable than Lowry going one on five.

Either way. Great fight to get back to it. Unfortunately we got outplayed by more experienced guys who knew what to do on the court. We made stupid mistakes, but thats inexperience (unfortunately I dont think DD will ever get better in that regard unless he gets a coach who can hammer it in his head that he needs to pass the ball quicker). Also we were not able to adjust at all during the series whole Nets made the right adjustments.

Great season also. Much better than what was anticipated in begining of the season. Even the Playoffs was so much better than last time, despite the heart crushing loss in the end.

Now try to keep Lowry, PPat and GV and make some roster moves to get a decent wing to play instead of Salmons. And get a new coach. I cant stand another season of Casey.

Unfortunate how the games go as I wish both Heat and Nets to lose next and Indiana and Washington to win. Samething in west where the two I want to advance will play against each other (doesnt matter if its SA or Dallas) and on the other side are two teams I dont like.

It would be nice to somehow get Harison Barnes from Warriors for the next season. Gonna need a bigger SF than Ross to have a chance in the east.

True to all Toronto teams, the Raptors find new and innovative ways to disappoint fans.

Are you kidding? this is probably one on the most exciting season i have ever watched. It went a lot better that i expected and we actually saw internal growth from the team and has me very excited for the upcoming season. We finally have a guy in charge that appears to know what he is doing and doesn't seem to make rash decisions.

And to the people that are blaming the loss on the refs, Stop It. We lost because of our inability to play defense and by giving up offensive rebounds. There were bad call both ways.

Now we just need Ross to keep developing along with JV and add quality bench players. I cant wait for the off season to start.

dude, this season was a monster success, what are you talking about
we now have to be smart in the offseason and build on what we have
next season, ross and JV will be different players and if we played them again, I don't think it will be a close series anymore.

think where we were a year ago and that will put things in perspective

Lowry: "This has been the best teammates I've played with in my career"

He hasn't taken his uniform off yet.

Big thanks to the Raptors. I can't say that enough.

And Joe Johnson? We don't have a player with the size or strength to battle him for 48 minutes, so enjoy this moment, because you're going to be sucking wind when LeBron smothers you next series.

And Dwane Casey? We don't have a coach that's smart enough to use Landry Fields to cover iso Joe. JKidd thought out of the box. You didn't.

Great season no matter what. Proud of the players/coaching and what they did this year. This series was a battle and I think Toronto gained a lot of respect from it. Sucks how it ended, tough lost. But that happens, now time to used it as motivation for next year.

This is fun basketball though. This is what you want every year but with you winning. Lets hope this is just the start of a bright future.

Go Raptors!

On the whole, of course the season was a success, especially given the fact that we were barely predicted to make the playoffs before the season started.

However, the last I checked, we were the third seed, with the third best +/- in the East. We won a division title and got bounced in the first round.

So yeah, the season as a whole, big picture is a resounding success. But, given the success we had in the regular season, it's disappointing that we are continuing our post-season ineptitude.

You can always count on the Raptors to completely rip out the hearts of their fans, step on them, light them on fire, then for good measure light up some TNT and have a huge explosion for good measure.

Now I can get back to killing Demar and Casey for them being awful at their jobs.

Demar should be ashamed at how bad Johnson owned him. His effort on D was awful all series, but really came to the forefront today. There were at least 3-5 loose balls, or passes in his vicinity that he could have corralled but instead he chose the easy route to just lay back and let the Nets player get the ball. And his defence on Johnson? Its the definition of the word soft in sports.

Casey? Didn't make an adjustment that worked all series on Johnson. Johnson isn't Lebron, he shouldn't be this hard to guard THE ENTIRE FUCKING GAME. He either gave him the exact same double team looks with our weak, unprepared rotations where it wasn't even a hard double team and gave Johnson an easy pass to the corner or under the rim to KG, or else he'd just let him go 1 on 1 and dribble his way into a 5 foot hook shot. His defensive schemes vs essentially their only offence was pathetic.

I can't stand the way Derozan gets his points, it's such an inefficient way to score, he kills the rhythm of the offence, and he never makes the easy, quick pass out of traps or hard hedges. He's the reason JV was taken out of this series offensively with his selfish play.

Get rid of them both.
