Fields played 11 seconds in the first half.....Salmons is garbage.

In the last 3 games we have given up 34+ pts in a quarter 3 times. What happened to our defense?

Mostly Lowry and Amir being much less than 100%. Ross always in foul trouble doesn't help.

we need to keep this a 5 pt game or so going into the 4th. JJ has 21 minutes and Pierce 16, they will run out of it. They got lucky with thornton catching fire, but I think the first half was not that bad. The pace was quick which will be to our advantage.

we just have to keep it under control in the 3rd - their best quarter traditionally.

and the refs were good, no major errors - most fouls were correctly called.

If we have any chance of pulling out a W, we need to have an amazing 3rd Quarter. And it all starts with suffocating defense.

That's a positive sign. Time to assert himself. He has been disciplined and gotten 4 assists. Missing the wide-open Amir was sad. Now it's time to get it done, and if he can it will make an obvious difference.

Demar need to come play in the 2nd half he's the key for us to get to the 2nd round; he has no FTs nor Fouls on him so that the X factor to winning this ball game

They better not wait until the 4th to wake up. If they do we're in trouble. Brooklyn will do everything possible to extend the lead in the 3rd quarter.

Maybe. I'm a bit worried that the nets have not expended the same kind of energy as other games thus far.

Although i wish he played better, not worried about DD at all, he always picks it up after starting slow. He is capable of single-handedly change our offensive flow.

We need to make some adjustments defensively. We are so predictable defensively. Every time they give the ball to JJ, we send a double team. But late enough so he has time to catch, see where the double is coming from and pass out so they have advantage and we are scrambling. Since that one game where we had Landry play (with decent success) on JJ, we also have reverted to same guys guarding JJ, who cant do it by themselves.

Casey needs to change it. Use Fields. Change the cover man. Put PPat on JJ for one possession. Change the doubling. Send the double before he catches the ball for one possession and then when he dribbles the next. One possession have Fields play him one on one. Change it up. At this point we need to get something going defensively or we are dead.

And offensively we will again predictably try to get Derozan (and Lowry) going. Thats the stupidest thing we can do. We should do what worked in the first i.e. play the ball down low to Amir (or JVal or PPat). Have Lowry drive and dish. When we get the offensice movement going then DD will get his shots. Lowry is fine without shots. He can make the big ones in fourth even if doesnt take a shot in third.

We need some reaction from the coach. He seems too scared to change anything and just wants to rely on DD/Lowry heroics.

DD is holding the ball in traps for too long. He also missed wide open rolling JV at least twice. He seems way to casual out there.

Give it a rest. Nobody needs to wake up. But Toronto does have to get stops.
