He's averaging 5 rebounds in 20 minutes according to his NBA stats page.

I'm just hoping it's lack or strength, because if he turns out a bust, it's a far bigger blow than bargnani's play. I'm almost 100% certain thesis his last season with us, so while I hope to see him play much better to fetch us a nicer bundle, it won't impact the future too much.
His rebounding is ok, his defense is work in progress, but if you don't see him providing energy you must be high..

I don't know which game you're talking about and I don't know who his direct opponents were, that might have something to do with it. If I remember correctly he also had a 10 rebound game so it's not like we're talking about the next Brook Lopez. A lack of energy is certainly not the problem with this kid. He is often overenthusiastic, makes silly mistakes and get's 2 early fouls. No wonder he can't get in a decent rythm.

I'm sorry you're already bringing up the bust tag. For comparison a dude named Nowitzki looked extremely lost and insecure on the court as a rookie, and he turned out fine too. Have a little patience please.

JV is a rookie playing the most physical position in the league. Anyone who expected him not to struggle against bruising NBA-caliber players in his rookie year is a fool. I suspect some sinister motives of some of the criticism he's receiving here. Some are likely Bargnani fans trying to put the blame onto JV.

Watching Bargs play yesterday was making me feel sick. Everyone has friends that are a bit slow and I've determined that Bargs is just a bit dumb.

I thought Casey was going to hold players accountable... Why does this guy keep putting Bargs on the floor?!

If JV was playing 25-27mpg he'd be averaging 10/7. I have no problem with his numbers since he's only averaging 20mpg.

I don't mind the fact that this board has recently been flooded by Lithuanian fans, it's great to have board diversity. However what crosses the line into severe patriotic fanboyism is some of those posters who insist upon Bashing other players and only praising Kleiza and Val.

He sat him for 12 straight minutes in the 1st half.

And he didn't see any playing time in the 4th either, no?

Then again it was a blowout by the 4th

While he was on the bench we made a run and as soon as we got close he was back on the floor.

We were out of the game by then I think Casey was preserving him for today.

So we get awesome PG (and good one on the bench) DD starts playing like a man, but than our SF position is absolutely terrible and Bargs is playing like shit. The things just doesn't go right on this team.. :deadhorse:

Ya I figured casey was resting the starters for today..

Our bench vs Bostons bench helped us get back into the game in the 2nd quarter, outscoring their bench 20-0? Ed Davis and Kleiza played a huge part in this.

Also you didn't mention that we got closest at any point in game in the third quarter with Bargnani on the floor, we cut the lead to 2 points.

Casey needs to man up & start Ed Davis... he keeps talking about people earning a starting role & its like that rule doesn't apply to the PF position.
