Shoot I wish I could go. Got chores and family horseshit going on. These people don't know what I go through when I miss Blazer games. Especially against teams that I think we can beat.

One reason is caliber of competition. Other than the Raptors having a brutal, road schedule so far, last year there were a ton of teams that were tanking, injured or out of sorts because of the lockout. A big advantage the Raps had was continuity. While Casey was a new coach the roster had been together generally the year before.

Secondly people are underestimating that our starting center who plays 24mpg is a terrible basketball player right now. According to 82games the team is -11 with Valanciunas on the court and +17 with Amir Johnson on the court. Whenever Amir comes in for Valanciunas the team starts playing much better defensively. Valanciunas is one of the worst defensive bigs in the league right now and is a bad defensive rebounder (playing beside Bargs masks how bad he's been on the defensive glass, so many players getting offensive rebounds over him, even Jamal Crawford got his own ORB today right beside him), which when put beside Bargs is the last thing you want, he isn't much of an option offensively to make up for it aside from offensive rebounds and putbacks. I would personally bet that if Valanciunas was playing 10mpg and Gray/Amir were getting the rest of his minutes, and Bargnani/Valanciunas never played together, our defense would be a lot more respectable.

Third is I think they were just more excited to play under Casey last year and got that first year coach bump, but this is correct for their real talent level. We overperformed last year but you can't really count on overperforming every season. Best bet is that most teams will play to their talent level

LOL lecturing me about seniority of posting and respect.

High school was a long time ago bro, I get it though. Tough times in highschool, never got the cheerleader, now it's time to be Top Dog on Raptors Forum.

Sorry Rachel Mcadams from Mean Girls, you could have 50 000 posts and I still wouldn't hesitate to call someone out or say whatever I want.

You have every right to be an asshole... you're correct in that respect.

The same way that I have every right to call you out on it.

Not sure how "really wanting to beat the Blazers because he's a Blazers fan" is me being an asshole.

I'm sure deep down he's hoping for a blowout win for the Blazers

Welcome to Bryan Colangelo's world where talent gets stretched so thin that losing focus for a couple of minutes means you're fucked. Doubly fucked if your coach is out to lunch.

I thought it was the perfect "Somethings Got To Change" game with 3 competitive quarters and 1 quarter of crap.

Oh well. In a way this perfect shit storm of pieces that don't fit is entertaining.

I know these two players aren't that important to their teams, but why the heck did they eject Lucas and barnes? I thought at worst double technicals

Bargnani has defined inconsistency this year in terms of his scoring.. Never seen a guy go up and down so much..

34 points
4 points
21 points
4 points
23 points
8 points
20 points
12 points

Guy use to put up 20 with ease, he can't seem to put it together for a string of games since that eastern roadtrip.

i have to admit, although i always have been an Bargnani supporter, that the only time he was really consistent, was last season for 13 games so these up and down numbers don't really surprise
