Default The final play call of Triano.

Watching the final play call to either tie the game or win in with 14 seconds was pathetic. I am really opposed to the whole you "win or die with your franchise player".

As i can recall, I believe it was the 2nd or early 3rd quarter, where Solomon threw an inbound play to Parker on the left elbow. Parker waited, called the play, Barganani sets a high screen for Bosh, then Bosh curls and performed a strong cut to the basket, resulting in a dunk.

That play was great. Bosh's man was left in the dust. Even Jack Armstrong praised the play call.

Then it got me thinking. With 14.1 seconds left on the clock, Triano should've called the same play. For it gives the Raptors 4 options to win the game.

Here's why?

Inbound the ball to Parker, Bargani sets high screen, Bosh goes for a strong cut, and even if Bosh's cut is stopped by a defender, he can pass it to Bargnani who then rolls off to the 3 point line (while Bosh is cutting of course). Even if Bargnani is well guarded, he can dish it off to an open Kapono on the elbow, because im sure the person who is guarding Kapono is going to go after Bargnani. Final option, if Kapono's man doesn't cheat and stays on Kapono, Kapono can quickly swing it to the corner for an open will Solomon. Providing the raps 3 options to win the game, and 1 to tie.

Im no Jay Triano, but thinking about it, a better play could've been called, instead of the obvious "old school, live or die with the superstar" play.

It hadn't worked against the Blazers too. You can try things twice, but the third time people may call you stupid. I believe Triano got his lesson.

It was a fine play.

Raptors got a cleared out side and Bosh with the ball in his hands 18feet out. Noah was on him and there is no way that Noah can match foot speed with Bosh.

The problem was that Bosh started his move toward the basket and bailed on it with some foolish spin moves, everytime during the game that Bosh flat out attacked he scored, useally with the foul. If he wasnt gonna take the drive all the way then he should have passed out, but Bosh rarely ever does that.

Bosh seems to have learned that his bread and butter is no longer using his speed and agility and figures himself to be a jumpshooter.

+1

The play got the ball to our best player in his best position to score. I have no idea why Bosh bailed on the drive. At worst Noah was likely to pick up a foul.

The bad call was letting 12 seconds or so run off the clock before fouling.

i would have liked to have Triano draw up a play for a 3 to win, but in the end you can't really argue with getting the ball to your best player.

the solomon foul was indeed putrid. I don't think it was intensional though.

Triano is nothing but a puppet who acts as Colangelo pulls the strings.

if that was the case dont you think Bargs would have probably gotten that shot last night.....triano showed lack of vision and guts.he went with "safe mode"and gave the ball to bosh....thats why i lost a lil respect for triano,i thought he would be a better judge of who to feed and when and have balls to make the tough decision....look at the game against boston, the play was a horrid one for ap and as it broke down a guy calmly swished a 3.....like duh, maybe the gods are trying to tell you something JAY.....then he goes iso for Bosh and Bosh tries to 1 on 5 it in.lol........i really though triano was better than sam.hes proving me otherwise.

Hopefully Triano didn't make that play for Bosh but instead Bosh just called for it, because if he did that was a bad call. Bargs was on fire and should've got the ball, but maybe Bargs was just the decoy
