I hope Fields can come off the bench & be effective... there will definitely be less pressure with the 2nd unit.

Well they just played last night and beat the Celtics.. I believe Casey will be demanding a strong effort in the first half against a fatigued sixers team. Winnable game!

We'll win if our undeserved and unwarranted forcefeeding of Bargnani at the beginning pays off. If he's not hitting shots, we'll lose.

The Toronto Raptors’ defence the main cause of 1-4 start | NBA | Sports | National Post

Quote:
Casey expressed contentment with his starting shooting guard, DeMar DeRozan. He is not in danger of losing his starting job anytime soon.

DeRozan is averaging 17.8 points per game on 46% shooting from the floor to start the year, also rebounding and passing better than he has in the past. DeRozan matched a career-high with seven assists against Dallas.

Hes doing a great job of letting the game come to him, Casey said. Hes not in a hurry. I think last year once he got the ball in the post he became a little anxious and now hes taking his time and nothing bothers him down there. Hes competing at a high level. Hes very efficient, that would be the word you want to use. Hes doing a good job.

It's far more likely that they're trying to get him used with that spot, since by um will soon be their starting C

Delmar is having a great offensive season so far, but he's still quite bad on D. Watching Vince abuse him in the post was pretty sad.

Kyle Lowry will be OUT for tonights matchup. This is the same ankle he injured this offseason, not taking any chances.

Whenever we have someone playing like an all-star they get injured, horrible luck...

76'ers key guys played heavy minutes last night, need to take advantage of this.

What worries me about Lowry is that it's a lingering injury that he had in the summer. That really scares me.

Kleiza (personal) will play in Saturday's game against the 76ers, according to the Raptors' PR Dept.
Doesn't say if he's starting but with Fields out, hopefully he plays a good amount at SF. Guessing we're starting McGuire?
