Notes on individual players:
- Good to see AB get another ok offensive game. Still not over all on last years level, but I would be happy with this type of performance on average. Of course hes had three-four subpar performances already so he would need to have some huge nights to make up for it. Also his defense and overall performance is not at last years level
- DD forced it a bit too much. I think he might do without some of those fade away shots from "post" position.
- JVal a good game for as long as he got to play. Matchupwise not his night as Philly didnt have anyone he could guard and as he is not a dominant offensive player we cant afford to have him on floor
- As much as I was hoping AA would replace Fields in starting lineup, he basically killed the momentum by some stupid decision when we were getting close in third. First an ill-adviced quick three and right after it trying to drive against several opponents leading to fast break and three point game by Philly. He had some nice drives, but overall negative,
- Calderon was his normal reliable self. Nothing flashy, but while he was on the floor, our offense worked (11ass). Decent shooting too. Defensively Jrue was too much to handle, but its not like we didnt know that before hand.

Bench:
- Overall horrible. Thats out "Depth". We lose two guys and our bench becomes a squad of thrid stringers.
- JLucas is showing that he really is third stringer if even that. Some good shooting night in pre-season made myself and other believe were really well set in PG position, but actually we have two good PG's (not such a drop in starting unit when Lowry goes down, but the second unit is dead without Jose) and a third stringer like every other team.
- Ross in not NBA player yet. He had couple of bad turnovers where he showed that he is either paniciking on the floor or has bad BBall IQ. Also for shooter he is not ready to take shots when he gets the ball. At least two times I saw him kinda be suprised when the ball was delivered to him in place to shoot.
- No one else did anything worth mentioning except suck in general.

Casey:
- I am also starting to question his skills. He made great improvments last year in defense, but now with what are supposed to be better defenders and more time to work on D, we suck worse than ever.
- Why are we playing bench so much. It was clear in second Q, we need some starters out there. In the end starters logged big minutes, but that was because they played most of the second half, even garbage time.
- Not firing him or anything as I think outside this game we are pretty much playing like we are supposed to. But I think some of the fight from last season is missing and if we want to be better than most think, we really need to also upset some teams, not just win those who are clearly worse than us. And in this game we had a chance with Philly playing back-to-back and it being a home game.

The amount of open shots/layups from the opponents and break downs/miscommunications on defence I've seen this year are ridiculous.

i begin to think we should have paid 5M/years to JJ instead of anything. we would have a better chemistry on the court and a better defensive team.
i don't say that was the right call, but the seem to be close here. he make a real difference last season for us on defense

They're not going to change if they're getting our money all the time. Maybe I'd also organize some protests outside the ACC and contact the media too. Hopefully I can get MoVernie on board.

Anderso is a chucker, he doesn't belong with starters. We have to start Ross, and now Casey won't have a choice, unless he goes with LK. Ross should fit well with starters, all he has to do is knock wide 3s from the wing and run intransition and defend, which are supposed to be his strengths.

really need to explore trade scenarios with Bargnani to get a decent SF. id be fine with amir/ed/kleiza/mcguire playing the 4. but no more anderson and fields please. have ross play some more minutes.

i often agree with you milk, but you're way off there imo.

anderson is not a chucker. There have been so many ill-advised shits (ha i'm leaving that in! i meant shots!) taken so far this season, and it's all down to a stagnant offence, esp in the games without lowry. Late shot-clock, no other option heaves.

anderson has high IQ and you can tell he doesn't even want to take those shots imho. when guys cut properly and screens are working, he gives it up.

bargs is the chucker, maybe we kind of want that, although i hate chuckers, coz when he gets it going he's awesome.

Then we would have decent SF and we would be pretty much as lousy at PF spot as we are now at SF. Actually if we would have Amir still play center (which we need to have as otherwise its JVal-Gray duo alone) we would be even worse at PF than we are now at SF. Kleiza can play PF against certain opponents, but is not realla PF, McQuire is just a defensive bench SF, and Ed Davis just sucks.

Not to mention, I dont think trading Bargs alone would even net us that much improvment on SF. His value isnt too high currently with the bad start after an injury ridden season.
