We wont lose this one after getting owned by the Pacers last night. Unless of course the Raps have no pride but I dont think that's the case.

Its never a guarantee.

NJ's been hanging around in most of there recent games and all it will take is Harris to get hot and this team will lose.

NJ players are desperate for wins, hope Raps take them seriously and play up to their opponent

Indeed. Harris loves to penetrate. When he puts his mind to it, he is capable of getting to the line 15-20 times against a team like the Raps.

Yeah, I hope they take them seriously, too. But I'm more concerned that they might play down to New Jersey's level, rather than playing above the Nets. They need to match New Jersey's desperation, while not falling into the trap of just trading buckets in the early stages. They need to try and jump on the Nets in the first half, and not be content with a small lead.

Why would we assume Hedo isn't playing? I mean he was on the bench yesterday.

I would think he'll be good to go tonight.

Like how long does it take to make a freaking mask?

Listen..

I don't think you guys are really seeing new jerseys record.. they are 4-43..
now that is a bad basketball team.. with a record like that, teams don't even have to play good, and new jersey will still get blown out

they are awful..
give the Raptors more credit then that

when your 4-43, you do stupid things, turn over the ball... step out of bounds, miss open layups, get violation calls etc..

they are crap..

again i repeat 4 and 43
we are in Febraury, and they have only 4 wins

and Hedo and Demar are probably good to go... but why would you want any of them to play the horrible Nets and risk injury

Am excited to see Marcus Banks shut down Harris and watch the Nets score under 65 for the best Rap's defensive performance of the season.

This is, if Calderon is not feeling too great.

I hope Hedo is playing. Acie didn't list him in the starters, so I figured Acie saw an update that said Hedo was either not playing or only "probable."

There is a history on this forum of users taking bad opponents too lightly. People will say "automatic win" or "book it", and then the Raps end up losing a close game. Recently, this has happened a couple times on the 2nd night of a back to back. For example, the first time we lost to Indiana on the road, after blowing a 23 point lead, and the last time we lost to the Bucks on the road.

Yes, New jersey is aweful. But if the Raps play down to their opponent, which they sometimes do, and let the Nets stick around until the 4th, it could get ugly. If I had to bet everything I own, I'd say the Raps win. But I still have a bad feeling about the game, especially if Hedo, Jose and Demar are not in the lineup.

This is, if Calderon is not feeling too great.
When Banks filled in for Calderon back in December, it took Marcus a handful of games before he started getting completely comfortable. In fact, Marcus was a minus rating during the first meeting with the Nets. He couldn't even put up a positive rating against the Nets second unit. It's not easy to sit on the bench for weeks and then suddenly get thrown out there. I give him credit for his effort, but don't exagerate his initial impact. For the record, if he does play, I hope you're right and he locks down Harris. I'm just not anticipating that.

seriously, if we are their 5th win out of 48 games they've played, this board will hit the roof.

a loss to the nets is not only embarrassing, its disasterous to confidence. we lose this game and a lot of people will be second guessing themselves and the team in general.
theres no excuse losing tonight, none. if we want to be considered a playoff team, a top tiered eastern conference team - we cannot lose to (quite possibly) the worst team in NBA history.

biggest game of the month by far.
what other game has more importance?

Itís going to be at least a couple of days before Turkoglu is back on the court so heíll miss at least both ends of the back-to-back which began Tuesday in Indy and finishes Wednesday at home against the New jersey Nets.
