Nets FINAL: New Jersey Nets 67 Toronto Raptors 98

NJ at Toronto on Thursday, both teams with the same record and one game left ... winner gets at least one extra spot in the lottery, but quite likely 2 or even 3 spots could be on the line.

Imagine if cle, sac, tor and NJN all have 22 wins and the winner in that game drops 3 spots in the draft, from tied for 4th all the way to tied for 8th.

there's no way this game doesn't break at least one nba record of some sort ...

We should just claim all of our players are injured and forfeit the game.

That or suit up SJ and the former teammates he used to play with when he played ball.

I hate to upset Raptor fans, but since the Blazers own the Nets top 3 protected ping pong ball, I personally want that ball to be a little heavier. I'll say Nets win by 12.

Jinx post!

I actually have a bad feeling that Casey will be trying extra hard to win to send the fans home happy on "fan night".

Unfortunately, I can't actually see us losing this one. Especially if the nets can't win the last game in NJ.

Here's hoping Hump has a 40-40 game to "show us" what we missed out on!

I think Casey will be fully on board for the first time. He can handle one game of outright tanking.

Meanwhile - the way the Hornets are playing, they could possibly win their final two games against GS and Houston to finish with 22 wins as well.

In a game similar to this in MIN, Casey allowed Mark Madsen to play KGs minutes in the 4th qtr(despite KG apparently having a double double midway through the 3rd) and also allowing Madsen to take 8 3's in the game.

Now that's tanking.

Alabi, be ready to shoot the longball.

We need to play DD and Ed as much as possible..... Alabi, Forbes, Anderson and Uzoh are just way too scrappy!

This is going to be an epic battle. To begin with - absolutely, Alabi should demonstrate his three-point shooting prowess! But we should also seriously think of resting Uzoh and letting Solo play at least some minutes at the PG spot, showcasing his cross-over and decision-making on the break!

JJ also deserves a game off. Team should look into disciplining DeRozan for his ball-hurling antics with a DNP-CD. Only the professionals with clear understanding of what needs to be done should be allowed on the floor on Thursday. Solo, Kleiza, Gray, Forbes, Anderson should all play major minutes with Amir and Ed coming off the bench to provide more outside shooting.

I don't think there's any doubt that casey is on board now - benching derozan in detroit for apparently "having a chance to see how the other guys perform in crunch time" is the proof in the pudding.

not only that, but sacramento also plays two very winnable games if their opposition decides to rest the starters (most likely they will, since they have nothing to play).

we actually have a small chance of finishing 3d, and that would be .... good

Here's hoping for an epic failure of a game by the Raptors. Go Nets!

Let the entire team have the night off, and get a bunch of D-leaguers up here to all play the entire game.

Let Leo and Matt be reserves. Let JYD play. Let Armstrong play. Hell, let Doug Smith play. Sign them all to 10-day contracts. starters - Uzoh,A.A., Forbes, Gray Alabi.
