Tonight the Raptors host the Nets as they look to win two in a row for the first time since the 3 - 0 start to begin the season with wins against the 76ers, the Warriors and the Bucks. Having played 3 games in the Southwest division, we begin a tough 4 game home stand tonight with 2 key divisional games against the Nets and the Celtics
on Sunday. Then we prepare for the Bobcats, the Hawks and Kobe Bryant and the Lakers next Sunday. Tonight's game will go a long way to restore some confidence to this team as they prepare for some very tough games at home. Having played 7 of the first 11 on the road and still being above .500% has been a testiment to this team's
character and improvement on the floor.

The lineups look like this. With no word on Josh Boone, I have to keep him off the starting lineup with his sprained ankle.

Nets

C - Brook Lopez
PF - Yi Jianlian - could be hurt - no status as of writing this
SF - Bobby Simmonds
SG - Vince Carter
PG - Devin Harris

Raptors

C - Jermaine O'Neal
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - Andrea Bargnani
SG - Anthony Parker
PG - Jose Calderon

The Raptors have the advantage up front as the Nets are missing Josh Boone, Eduardo Najera and Stromile Swift. I must give the advantage to the Raptors with veteren front men, this team should have little ability to challenge us up front. I believe that Vince has an advantage there, but if Parker can keep him under 20 points tonight, he will be invisible for this team. If Anthony can score 15 points and keep VC in front of him, the night will be long for the Nets.

Devin Harris and Jose Calderon will provide us with some entertaining ball tonight as they both lead their teams with fire. Harris has been hot the past few games and bring 23 ppg to the floor. Jose runs the Raptors with ball movement and control and with our clear advantage inside, I believe this game will be a great start to a tough home stand for the Raptors.

I think VC will try one drive towards the basket, get hammered by J.O. and spend the rest of the night shooting jump shots or pretend he is hurt and spend the rest of the night on the bench.

i remember when VC dissed CB when we drafted him #4, and he said we should have traded the pick and that CB wouldn't help the team.

5 years later CB is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than VC.
i hope VC slips on ice in front of the ACC and cries.

Whenever I went to the nets game I never did the booing thing. Just not a fan and really I don't miss Vince and really don't care how he left. He gave us a few good playoff series now the team is "trying" to be better than that.

The booing just gets old. I think Cheering after timeouts and screaming ur lungs out when the raps are setting their D is far more effective

It's not a case of "getting over it," DVS. We're all over it and we're all glad he's not a raptor anymore.

When someone doesn't get over a breakup, that means they want the other person back. trust me, nobody wants Vince back.

It's more a case of trying to piss him off. Trying to annoy him, get him out of his comfort zone. Vince really fucked this organization up the ass - and to an extent he's been a prick towards us afterwards. You better believe i want to make him "hear it" everytime he steps into the ACC.

Ah that can't be bought. You think all 19 000 booing will give you that elaborate story I don't think so. Although I do appreciate the heckling.

Another reason why I like to boo Vince is because of his Arrogance. I don't know how he can still have such a big head... when he plays like crap nowadays.

as lone said, vince will not dare drive against JO, and imagine if he does .... After O'Neal sends him in the stands, he will probably retire to the dressing room for the remainder of the night ...

^^
seriously!

i'm not going to be at the game but i'll still boo to the tv, but i think i have tickets to the next game the nets are in town
this year it'll be good because in previous years when we booed him you could see it affecting his play but it would be hidden by the play of kidd and jefferson, now when he gets affected he'll have nobody to step up for him but devin harris and clearly that is no enough
