The best thing about this team is that if one of the big two don't stand up, there is always someone else who puts his hand up and dominates. Surprised but obviously pleased with the win. 50 wins?

10 games over .500. Coming into this season I never thought I'd say that.

In fact, I likely would have put money on 10 games under if those were the only two options.

Seriously, how awesome is it that we have a team where DD, our leading scorer, can draw the focus of elite defences and get shut down (mostly) and others step up big time to fill the void. I do love that DD also doesn't force things too badly - he was a little off track in the first half with taking tough jumpers, but refocused in the second and we punished the Grizz for over committing on him.

Hope DeRozan pays attention to what's happening to him of late.
He's getting that recognition as an All-Star two-guard with a mean mid-range J.
They focusing solely on him on defence and denying him that ball.
Loved that, in the 2nd half, he didn't force his game and starting racking up assists.

Can't say enough about JV playing with confidence. My Fucking word. The difference is just ridiculous.

We DO NOT let Trashquez walk after this season. He signs here.

Vasquez proved his worth last night. I know it was against his old team but he showed that he could step up if needed. I noticed when he was on the court with Lowry that the majority of time he was the primary PG and Lowry played the off-guard.

I liked how Demar didn't force up shots but I did notice a lot of dribbling from him that made me nervous cuz he doesn't have good enough breakdown handles.
I'm happy that JV played well against a legit frontcourt and anytime he can play well its only a confidence boost. I just hope its not 1 of his 1-off good games. He needs to do this consistently for the rest of the season; maybe he doesn't have the put up those stats but he has to play that style. Not to be a downer but I still feel like on offense he's still pulling the same perdictable moves and it just all depends on whether the shots go in or not which determines his success the whole night. He needs to either get to a point where those moves may be predictable but unstoppable or he needs to get have it so that whether the shots drop or not it does not affect his contribution each night.

This is the Vasquez I expected when we got him. He makes mistakes but plays hard and has the ability to hit big shots.

So many decisions to be made this summer. I agree we're 2 seasons away from making real noise. The summer of 2015 should be huge considering the anniversary, rebrand and upcoming ASG, I think 2015-16 is when Masai is looking to make a jump and in the meantime it's about aquiring young assets and picks to use in future trades.

for me, signing Klow is a no-brainer at this point...he's clearly the heart and soul/leader of this club
imho it will be an epic mistake/failure on the part of this organization if they let him get away

I still don't think i've accepted that we're actually quite a good team. I keep refreshing the NBA's standings to see that 10 over mark. it brings a smile to my face. Last year i went to one of the Raps/Philly games where they were like 35 down in the 2nd quarter and slumped back in my seat and literally just gave up. Basically said to my gf i've been supporting this team for more than 15 years and they've been awful the majority of this time, when will that change. Well, fortunately, we have something to be happy about this season. Hope Masai can continue to improve this team moving forward.

Great overall game. This team continues to fight even with DeMar struggling most of the way.

pretty awesome to be competing whilst doing that eh?

next season could be tough, with a few teams likely to improve. If we get less wins or even don't make playoffs, i hope everyone (mostly players,) doesn't panic/lose confidence. this is a good team.

absolutely loved this game! got schooled early, but hung in there and then excellent 2nd half, esp 4th Q, obviously.

worried we're gonna get eaten up inside in the playoffs. We've shown we can adjust when it's happening, but in a 7 game series, i'm worried that will be the difference maker.

I thought the Raps matched up well with the Grizzlies, but many doubted this. Randolph and Gasol aren't very mobile big men, which works into the Raptors' favour with their younger big men. The Raps have trouble with mobile, athletic big men. The outcome of yesterday's game, therefore, shouldn't have been that big of a surprise. It was a great win and a close game for 42 minutes, but this has shown in it's last 50 games it can matchup well with teams that have big, physical front courts.
