I'm all for the tank (kind of), but I like to see the team get some wins, to show the team that they ARE indeed working towards something.

A win here and there keeps the young guys interested, and I like games like this where we see big games from the young guys - DD, JJ, JB, ED and Amir!

I'm back from the game. The best seats I've ever had - just over from the corner camera along the baseline. First time I've ever sat lower than the rim. Pretty great.

The game was painful in one aspect - Ellis, Nate, Barbosa, and at times Bayless all looking like they were playing some other sport entirely. Nate took the cake eventually. I had a woman who was cheering for the Warriors right behind me. She spent the whole game shouting "YOU CAN DO IT NATE" in my ear. At the end of the game she was screaming for him to pass the ball whenever he got it. And then she proclaimed that he singlehandedly lost the game.

Ed Davis is looking better every game now. He almost singlehandedly won it. He changed the nature of the game in the 3rd quarter. They had a 2 point lead after the third, but it would have been a 5-10 point deficit without him. He played very active defensively, and did a beautiful job with outlets to convert defense to offense on rebounds and steals. He constantly set multiple picks. He got Leandro a couple of easy baskets. Ditto with Demar. There were second chance points thanks to his rebounding. He was a key guy on almost every play he was out there. He is a perfect example of a guy that makes a big impact without all that much to show in the boxscore next to his name. The dude made the guys around him better. If he gains a little more strength and fills out a little more, he is going to be really nice.

Demar's defense is night and day from last season. He's much more aware and able to see man and ball, and rotate very quickly on help situations. There are still plays where he gets burnt, but it's definitely coming along. He's moving nicely without the ball, and getting other guys involved when he does have the ball, unlike the four other aforementioned chuckers.

Finally someone who agrees with me. I still cant believe some of the crazy fans on the forum acting like the guy is a throw in in a trade. We'll look back and regret dealing him so early bigtime unless we get something of significant value in return. You dont just dump skilled athetlic 6'10 bigmen who can rebound and move like he can, especially in his second fucking year. Wake up people.

Depends entirely on what you're getting back TBH.

If we had a snowball's chance in hell of getting Rondo for Jose, him and pick (or whatever) I'd still drive him to the airport lol.... but yeah, you don't want to trade him for a bag of chips.

Credit to him though, he's been picking it up as of late.

I like ED but I just don't see how he fits on the team going forward with JonasV and Bargs. Add to the fact that Amir's contract is harder to trade and ED has without a doubt the higher trade value. I think Ed could be a starting 10 ppg, 10 rpg, 2 bpg type guy at PF in the nba, but I don't think he will be doing that on the raps. I do want the raps to get something good in return though.

here's the problem, ed davis may be a quality player someday, but, even with his recent improved play, is he that valuable NOW?. Other GMs will definitely look at his potential, but also at the lack of skill improvement over last year and his major offensive limitation. Personally, I doubt ed davis has a lot of trade value right now. So IF you trade him, he's probably not going to tip the balance much. For example, if houston would offer you patterson in a trade, would you do backflips? And most people I've read seem to value that guy higher than ed.

Of course, you don't just trade a young big men with potential and who will cost you nothing for another 3 years. But if we were to trade him, he would not amount to much at this stage.

Ed Davis is one of those guys that does the little things that are easier to see while watching games live. He makes things happen. He's always doing something smart and necessary. If there's a guy he can set a pick on he will do it. He gets the ball in his hands and boom - he starts transition or gets it to a guy going to the basket for easy points. How long have we seen this team have to work so hard on both ends? This guy does the little things that make everything easier. And that all becomes so much clearer when you see him live, because the camera doesn't exactly love him. When you see the game live you see the whole court and see what guys do at all times. It was only when I was able to see guys like Mike Miller and Shawn Marion live that I could really appreciate just how invaluable they can be, regardless of what the boxscore might say, or how they might be thought of as limited in some way. Ed Davis is well on his way to becoming one of those guys. There were players on this team had that some nice games last night, but if you watch that third quarter closely, Davis had a lot to do with that.
