Speaking of Gilberts, Dan Gilbert is the Clippers MVP this season.

I don't like that kid, he was kind of annoying when the Cavs won the first overall pick.

Pretty sure he has a medical condition... so how can you blame him for that? :cookie:

If we play like we did the past three games, we should have no problem - the Cavs are just not talented enough to make a huge run in the second half that would force us to give up a large lead. If we plan to actually win some games this season and be in the running for 8th seed (or higher) at the end of the year, we need to put away games like this on a consistent basis. Good teams lose to good teams fairly often, but they always take care of worse opponents.

In the past, the team seemed to shine against better competition and looked pretty bad against lesser/average opponents. We always seemed to lose these types of games, and I'm really hoping Casey has a remedy for that problem, in addition to the remedies he's seemed to provide thus far.

Call me crazy, but I think beating the Cavs twice in two weeks will be a better indicator of where we are as a team than staying with Dallas/Orlando for 3 quarters and beating the Knicks. Cleveland will be much more prepared, and I guarantee Irving will have a better showing than in his first NBA outing. They've only beaten weak teams thus far (Detroit, NJ, Charlotte), and I'm sure they see us as another potential victory. They're going to put up a fight.

P.S. - Winning this game could put us on a nice roll for the next 5/6 games. After the Cavs, we go against: Nets, Sixers, Wolves, Wiz, Kings, and Pacers. The following eight games, though, are as tough as these ones will (or at least can) be winnable. January is going to be a fun month!

The Cavs are hot, good luck Toronto. Play some defense.

I feel the same, However, Calderon better be ready, I'm certain the nerves will be outta Irvings veins this game, and Calderon is the first PG to really destroy him in his neophyte career..... I see Irving being out with his Fazer on KILL.

Still a possible W for us, no matter what Irving can show.

Tristan T coming to Toronto will also be a big deal.

cool stat on the score is that each time the cavs are hot on the 3 point line they win. so they're living or dying on three point shooting.

sort of like the Raptors 2 years ago

for every point jose can't stop irving, Bargnani will score against the weak cavs bigs
which leaves demar and jamison as the difference makers on each team
