I heard that the game favors the team more if it wins the first game in a play off series? How true is that?

56% of the teams who win game 1 win the series, not a huge advantage.

I heard it was 76% on ESPN? Either way, 3 higher seeds lost today so I ain't that worried. If they lose game 2, it's over

How it is possible the REFS didn't call a single foul on Nets in the 4th ?

also if i'm Masai i would be pissed about the shotclock not working ! Direct i fire the guy in charge of it (material wise) !
that were the experience works for the nets.

but all the misstep (turnover, shot not dropping) are manageable if they want to win. they need to compete with more intensity. Now it's time to have the rage.

let's go Raptors !

If Casey was smart he would put Patterson in the starting lineup.

Patterson > Amir... someone convince me otherwise.

Yeah, I think PatPat could do a more efficient job at guarding Pierce. It'll be tough either way, but he's a little more agile and mobile.

I agree. With Brooklyn playing Pierce at the 4, Patterson seems the better option to guard him.

Also it's a shame Fields didn't get any burn late in the season, he would be efficient on Pierce too I think. Salmons once again played 13 minutes for just one rebound and nothing else... But, hey, he's a vet and he's gonna wake up because of all the rest he got, right?

This game is a must win. We can't go down 2 into Brooklyn.

If my eyes didn't deceive me, wasn't Patterson the one getting lit up by Pierce in the 4th? How do you guys come to the conclusion that PPat is a better option defensively on Pierce when Pierce hit 4 straight shots against him, and was 2/9 I believe going into the 4th:?

We don't need to change the starting lineup.

Pierce was 2-9 going into the fourth sure, but he missed 2-3 easy ass shots that he normally hits including a wide open three. The defense on him wasn't that great. If it were Amir would have played more. Would i change the starting lineup up....no. If we lose the next game and Amir continues to struggle i would make the change for game 3. He is clearly injured and probably nowhere near 100%.

I've said in the previous game thread that Amirs D wasn't great on Pierce, but he did a good job with his rotations and was good enough on Pierce given the mismatch. I have no doubt however that Amir will do a better job defensively than Pat, as Amir is more mobile and quick. Patterson isn't quick enough to hedge and close out effectively, which showed in crunchtime.

We don't need to change our starting 5, unless, as you said, Amir is too hurt to play effective minutes, then in essence we're fucked.

You guys think in a very plain way. Coaches in the NBA play games with each other, if you put PP to guard PP as a PF, then Jason Kidd will play him as a guard.
I think Vasques must start instetad of Ross.

The reason why BRK is so good is because they use Pierce at the 4 to create mismatches. If they go back to a traditional lineup they can't exploit mismatches nearly as much due to lack of spacing.

Vasquez starting over Ross would be a disaster. Did you see how many points Vasquez singlehandedly game up yesterday? Stop being so overreactionary. Who would Vasquez guard? Williams and Livingston made him their bitch yesterday.

We don't need to change our starting lineup unless Amir is injured. Some of you are so short sighted.
