44 or 45 is the likeliest scenario, in fact 42-44 is even more likely.

the schedule will turn tougher after the break

this is my breakdown on a monthly basis:
February (what's left) 3-4
March 7-9
April 4-4

final record 43-39 - this option wasn't available, so I went for the higher record, but I think it's less than 50/50 to get 45 wins. 50 is still possible, but we'd have to play better, or to make a really good trade.

The competition gets tighter after the all-star break, and the way the Raps have been playing, they're due for a 4,5 game slide.

Although looking at the schedule, they got an easy start and a nice block of home games to begin.

It all depends how they come out of the gate after the break. They have to come out serious and focused. If they come out over-confident and sloppy (the way they've been playing) they might drop a couple games they shouldn't, and find it hard to get back into their groove.

Good sample, but more like double pistols (jack and jose) against a tank

Barring unforeseen injuries to our top players I definitely predict a franchise record 48 plus victories this season which would be a phenomenal accomplishment given the Raps slow start...

Forgetting to adjust to injuries, but I'll stick with my preseason predicition 48 wins

Would somebody complile a list of teams that may be in heavy tanking mode in April? And perhaps of those who will fight for every point to get into playoffs? is offline   Boss Key Wife Key

Some of you guys are putting the road game against Charlotte in the "must win" category. That's ridiculous. Charlotte plays very well on their home court. That alone makes it a tough game. Add to that the fact that it's the 2nd night of a back to back for the Raps, while Charlotte has a few nights rest, and it equals a very tough game. You can't just look at the opponents' overall record and assume it's a must win.

There are also cases of "tough" games that actually aren't as tough as you'd think. The Raps might lose that home game against Portland, but they will be playing it under some very fortunate circumstances that make it easier to take. Portland's on a back to back while the Raps have a few days rest.
