Default Fill in the blanks ..........

I hate to compare hockey to basketball, but hell why not, I do have some time before I start watching some football.
In hockey what makes a good line :
need a scorer on forward can play d without the puck, has speed
need a play maker and can play d in their own end, has speed
need a grinder that will go in the corners hard and play physical game
on d you need a stay at home d with a physical presence
on d you need a guy that can handle the puck , create offence and jump into the play, has speed

Now lets look at our Raptors and fill in the blanks on who best fills that requirement. You can write more then one player in , however if you believe we don't have anyone that fits in then write in.....N/A MEANING NONE AVAILABLE THAT FITS ON OUR TEAM.

1) good ball handler & passer can shoot well, can create, play decent d
good 3 pt shooter ____________

2) good ball handler, a big scorer, good defender, ______________________
can drive as well as shoot, good 3 pt shooter, can run

3) good ball handler, big rebounder, good shooter,
can drive, decent 3pt shooter, can attack the rim,
can pass, can run, ________________________

4) physical presence, tough, strong inside game, good mid range shooter,
strong rebounder, play strong d __________________

5) physical presence, strong rebounder, shot blocker, plays solid d,
strong inside game, out side shooting not a priority , a guy that will protect the paint and put guys on their ass if required ________________

Breaking a team down like this is problematic in that we've seen lots of teams with good individual pieces, but it's how they operate as a team that ultimately decides their level of success. You also aren't accounting at all for attitude, hustle, experience, confidence, stage presence(i.e. big shot capable or fold like a cheap suit).

Lets blow this baby up. What do you think Jeffrey ? lol
We will be just fine.Lots of basketball to be played. All we need is our ticket to get in the playoffs. Once we are in there then anything can happen.
