not sure if this is thread worthy (delete mods if you like.)
but people are consistently getting field's contract wrong!! if there's a thread on it, people will keep seeing it on the front page! it's not the poison pill contract for us! only for the knicks. For us it will be 6.3 per, or maybe 6, 6.3, 6.6. |

Whatever the numbers are: be it $6 + million per season or $20 mill over three years - however the years are split... it's just too much for a player like Landry Fields. It's overpayment.
Furthermore, senorjudge, nobody cares about MLSE's bank account balances and the fact that it's their money. The problem lies in the fact that in a salary cap, luxury tax system, what one player makes directly affects what other players can make. |

It's an overpay but by no means is it a crippling contract.... it's just unfortunate that money wasn't able to be used to secure a better player. This team needs top end talent to go with JV, AB and now Kyle Lowry.

most people are saying over-pay, so i accept it but i think he will be a good player for us right away and i'm confident he'll be worth 6mill by the end of the contract, possibly even a bargain.

6 million for a kid his age and with his skill set is peanuts, you guys are crazy. honestly, players don't forget how to play, he had a bad year last year trying to learn the game from a few of the biggest assholes in the NBA. Just watch what happens this year, then bow down later.

The only issue I have with this guy is that he should not be starting @ SF this coming season. That's not my idea of an upgrade. I like him but not as a starter. I just pray there is another shoe to drop here, otherwise

exactly. And I don't mind that yo bitch about him. What else we gonna do in the Summer. Once the Winter comes Bargnani will go back to averaging 25 a game, and guys will go back to bitching that he averages 6 rebs and not 8.
