Its still on your cap. You can't just buy out guys and have it automatically gone from the cap. If that was the case, the Knicks would have bought out their whole roster a long time ago.

and why would them do it? Their whole plan is to maximize cap-space, not to reduce it. Unless they think rasho can put them over the top ...

Rasho would come off their cap as well...so would Darrick , they would be getting a young PG that the team could grow with alongside Conley....also because Memphis is clearly insane

That could be the worst proposed trade ever in the history of messageboards. Juan Carlos is a 7th man at best. Imagine the fan reaction. This has Babcock move written all over it.

Just dumping TJ would be a huge mistake/disaster.

As with most things ...time will tell...riding ourselves of T.J is worth the move....hell don't resign Juan Carlos...I don't care...Gives us mucho cap room, and the ability to pay and start Jose without reproach.

Getting rid of TJ because he had a freak accident isnt addition by subtraction. Hes only been positive since coming here. Hes still very young, and still has the potential to be a top 5 PG in this league. Getting rid of him because he twisted the wrong way is dumb. Nagging injuries happen to everyone. Youre overreacting because of this+the freak accident. Once TJ gets 10+ games under his belt you wont even think of a dumb proposal like this again.

Dumping a 24(?) year old young PG whos only gotten better since coming here to get CAP SPACE is a BABCOCK move.

When is TJ's HISTORY of being hurt going to become more than just "an accident". Maybe the guy will never be right....maybe it would take a visionary GM to make the move now. Hey as a side note...didn't Babcock bring Jose to town????

BC got blasted for letting go of Kidd and Marbury....he is known for correcting his mistakes though...just ask Mr.Nash's accountant.
