Exclamation FAN590: Jermaine OK With Coming Off the Bench ..... For Now

As per Eric Smith's interview this afternoon with Jermaine on the FAN590. Also sounded like he has a little extra motivation to be ready for the game back in Indy on Friday night.

As per E Smith on the Fan 590 just now. And hey, it would depend on who's playing better, right? I like JO's attitude.

I just hope if he plays on Friday, it's because he's ready, and not because he's afraid of Indiana fans calling him "broken down".

Well, that "for now" sounds exactly like the one TJ said last year coming off injury.
Also, last season Jose asked to be a backup "for now" and start TJ with one condition, to trade away TJ in summer .... "for now" is all over. BC must stop to setup the roster with two good players covering the same position.

I'm kinda suspicious of JO coming back after being out for nearly 3 weeks to play the Pacers.

It could be a coincidence.

Regardless, I don't expect much production fom JO on Friday.

Hopefully JO is okay with coming of the bench, cause that is the only way he will stay here

I wish I could of heard the show. Whatever is best for the team. I would like to see him start as well as Bargs but... I don't know if I want to see Bargs back at the 3 position. But really Moon should not be starting on anybody's team in the NBA.

glad that JO is back, cause I don't see Bargs stopping Shaq on sunday. Bargs will probably be in foul trouble.

Maybe he's alright with coming off the bench....a lot of players can be "ok" with that.

But how will he feel when he's sitting on the bench during the game's final minutes? I think in JO's mind, he'll play limited minutes to protect his injury, but he might expect to play when it matters, especially with his defense. Time will tell....

I really don't understand what JO did to get so much hate from the raptor fans? The guy ALWAYS said and did the right things, he's the only player who plays hard EVERY game. It's not his fault that he's being overpaid and it's not his fault that he got hurt.

I didn't know all that much about him when he was in Indiana, but since he came here, he's gained a lot of respect in my eyes.

It's because of the way he wears his suit.

No seriously... you're completely right. Most rational fans would agree with you.

It's easier to direct hate at the player taking AB's minutes and 21 million of the team's dollars then toward the man that brought him here?

If Bargs hangs around the perimeter they'll probably have someone else guard him, and Shaq will guard whoever we put near the basket. If we put no one near the basket (as is usually the case it seems), we just screw ourselves over because

a) we will be settling for lower percentage perimeter shots all game long
b) we will have no one in position for offensive rebounds (not that we do most games)

If Bargs does actually play the centre position and hangs out near the basket, Shaq will guard him easily.

So, Bargs can play near the basket and pop out to bring Shaq with him...

It is what it is...

why do we have to hate anyone who hasn't done anything really wrong?

that's the beauty of Bargs and bosh, tho. both can easily move from teh paint to the perimiter, so shaq is forced to run the floor or play zone, in which case we can bomb 'em from the outside.
