Default Euros VS Americans Raptors

Hedo, Bargnani, Calderon,, how much emotion do you see from these guys ZERO!!!! That is the problem guys like Antoine, Bosh, Jack all have no problem showing emotion and passion when they lose, where is Bargnani?? Why doesnt he show any passion or desire??? This really needs to be questioned, because im sure his teammates Bosh for one has noticed and im sure it ticks him off I would be, someone needs to get in Bargnanis ear and tell him to play with some passion, because he is clearly just going through the motions right now. Turkoglu and Calderon could use a tongue lashing from colangelo or who ever for their play tooo

I don't know.

I've watched European players in the NBA and Euroleague ball and just like North American born players some guys are animated and some guys aren't.

It has nothing to do with Geography.

To be honest, I would call this a racist comment (all of our american players are black and all of our european players white)

I truly hope this whole thing (bargnani vs bosh, "americans" vs "europeans") is not turning into a race thing, because lately passions on this issue are running very high ...

Calderon shows the most emotion on the team hands down. He actually is the leader out there. Hes always encouraging his mates after a good or bad play. Hes all team with Calderon. You will never see Calderon put a team mate or his team under the bus in front of the media. Calderon does have issues just like the rest of the team , Caldys make up will make him a great coach some day.

America spawned the best basketball players on earth. So did Italy, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Canada, China. Only the worlds best in the NBA man better believe it.

as Raptor123 said, Calderon shows more emotion and plays with more passion than pretty much everyone on our team.

why can't you just analyze a player on who they are individually instead of using some label?
Seriously... Euro's vs. North American? Is this what it's coming down to?

emotion doesn't mean much. Look at San Antonio. Nice mix of Euros and Americans for years. Duncan seems to be fine without playing like Rasheed Wallace. The last year we were any good to begin with was when Garbo was running around doing all the dirty work for this team (rebounds, defense, screens). Go get someone like that. Try to get a Scola or Marc Gasol, or Umberto or Gortat.
Besides, emotion is not bitching to Doug Smith after the game about "not being good." Emotion is putting in the extra effort in the game to ensure that you win. I'm not sure that is entirely the Europeans fault on this team.

Yeah - it would be racist if race were brought up at all. Thanks for doing so.

And yeah - sorry to all for even replying.

The thing with Jose is that he is always saying nothing more than - I think we can be a very good team. It fits very well with the culture that BC seems to be looking for I suppose, but I respect Bosh for coming out and saying something that actually matches up with reality.

Jack/Derozan/Weems/Bosh/Amir

Game to 11. Threes are worth two, twos are worth one.

Americans get more chemicals in their foods which makes their hormores really imbalanced while europeans are more healthy.
Once you place them all in the great north they all have to face some bad consequences.

I don't want to sound offensive, but i only know a handful of euros that can actually play defense. Ginobli, the Gasols, umm....

Seriously, that's true. That kind of thing far from represents Toronto, so if anyone is reading and posting from anywhere outside of Toronto, or even Canada, know this is one of the few places that has found some form of harmony among races. So let's not bring it to just black vs. white on the team based on speculation.

Bullshit. It's not far fetched to think that culture has some influence on the way people express themselves, and i think most people would agree Americans are the most extravert people on the planet right now. Europeans more reserved.

Oddly enough Italians would be considered relatively outgoing in Europe, Bargs looks more like a bored German though. I'd say Hedo is very Turkish, which I know is a stereotype, but I definitely recognize his mellow attitude in most Turkish people who live over here too.

Has nothing to do with race. for instance Francisco Elson is Dutch like me, but black unlike me, still he very much has a lot of Dutch heritage in his character and behavior just like me.
